Hours after the doctors of the Apollo Hospital released statement that Jayalalitha was keeping well and will soon return home, she has suffered major cardiac arrest and has now been reported serious. The hospital reported that Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, She is being treated and monitored by a team of experts, including cardiologists, pulmonologist and critical care specialists.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh has spoken to Tamil Nadu Governor C Vidyasagar Rao after Jayalalithaa suffered the cardiac arrest.

She was admitted to hospital following severe lung infection followed by multiple organ failure. But the team of doctors treating her had always maintained the stand that she was recovering and also able to sit and walk. Ponnaiyan had claimed the Chief Minister was doing “physical exercises” and undergoing “physiotherapy”, he had said CM was able to eat well and even spoke few words some days back.
Since 72 days the CM of Tamil Nadu was kept in ICU and was under constant care. Although the doctors kept releasing bulletin that she was being treated, the opposition parties and people were curious about the her health and wanted to know what exactly was happening since there was no single photo released from the party or the hospital.
Many people had also speculated that the hospital and government was hiding real facts about Jayalalitha’s health.
