The video of CRPF jawan being attacked by stone pelters went viral few days back. The entire country expressed anger against the way the CRPF jawan was treated by stone pelters and demanded severe action against the criminals who attacked our soldiers.

Most of the film personalities and sportsman came out in open and supported the army jawans and condemned the act of stone pelters. The Zee news today interviewed the CRPF jawan who was attacked last week.

The jawan in the interview said that his name was Vicky Vishwakarma and was from the Sambalpur village and said that he was on election duty the day incident happened.

“It was a very sensitive area. I just wanted to fulfil my duty. It is difficult but this is what we are taught during our training that we have to take care of ourselves as well as our country in every circumstance. They (stone-pelters) were shouting slogans like `Pakistan Zindabad`, `Go India, Go back’ to torture us, but I did not succumb. I will live for the country till my last breath. But I will continue to do my duty… I will do everything for my nation.”

He also added that the youths were deliberately told to attack us and chant slogans against India. They kept following and hitting to provoke us and create violence and so we did not react for their comments. He said, that no jawan is scared of these stone pelters, and we will continue to serve the country with pride.

The CRPF jawan’s mother said that she was worried the day he was posted in Kashmir, and especially when she saw the video of her son being attacked on TV. but she was proud that her son was serving the country and doing his duty properly. Vicky’s father said “My son will continue to serve the country,” and we are all proud of him.
