2016 has been an eventful year for India in particular. Several memorable events took place in the year that went by. Indian politics has always been eventful and entertaining and 2016 was no exception. Ever since Shri Narendra Modi took over as PM we have seen opposition and Presstitutes working hard to defame him. Their hatred for PM Modi has turned into anti-nationalism as they lose no opportunity to show their scorn towards him and the nation. But the emergence of Social Media as a watchdog has been exposing their hypocrisy and anti-nationalist attitude. Here are a few events where nationalists prevailed over Presstitutes and their ilk.

JNU: The year started with a controversy in Jawaharlal Nehru University, JNU in popular parlance, has been the breeding ground of leftism in our country. Where there are leftists, anti-nationalism can never be far behind. Kanhaiya Kumar, president of JNU’s student union was arrested by the Delhi police under sedition and criminal conspiracy charges in February 2016. During an event organized to sympathise with parliament attack perpetrator Afzal Guru, anti-national slogans were raised; which necessitated this arrest. As is their wont Presstitutes went on an overdrive crying ‘freedom of speech under threat’ and students been victimised, in a bid to project PM Modi as a fascist dictator. They even alleged that the tapes were doctored. When the truth came out the very same Presstitutes had to run for cover because all their allegations fell flat.

Pakistan and terrorist attacks: It is said that “a dog’s tail can never be straightened” and true to this saying Pakistan continued sending terrorists across the border into Kashmir as well as indulged in several ceasefire violations, martyring our soldiers. This has been going on for a long time now. However, what was different this time was the Government at the centre. Both PM Modi and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar made it clear that the army had a free hand and should avenge the death of our martyrs. In keeping with this, our army conducted a surgical strike and destroyed all terrorist camps in the Kashmir valley and Indo-Pak border thus giving a befitting reply. Of course, this didn’t go down well with our anti-Modi brigade and the loudest opposition came not from Pakistan but, hold your breaths, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Twitterati nationalists stood firmly behind our army and backed the surgical strikes. Thus, Kejriwal’s attempts to stoke anti-Modi sentiments fell flat.

Separatists in Kashmir: This Government has adopted a no tolerance towards terrorism approach. Besides the surgical strikes, the army dealt with Kashmiri separatists with an iron hand too. The chest thumping that the likes of Barkha Dutt indulged in after Burhan Wani, a terrorist, was killed is all too well-known. Just like they do every time, this time too they tried to mislead public by playing the minority and poverty card. However, these arguments did hold much water with the public this time because the real agenda of these anti-nationalists has been exposed.

We even saw a sly war between nationalistic journalists on the one side and Presstitutes on the other. In the battle between sensationalism and nationalism, the latter marched on victoriously in the year 2016 and would certainly continue to do so in the coming years. Indians have now become more conscious of their role towards the country and have also understood the real face of the anti-Modi brigade which has converted its hatred for one person into hatred for everything he favours, including the nation itself. In the end, though, nationalism emerged a winner!!!
