A young leader from BJP is all set to checkmate the 6 time MLA who is also the Home Minister of Karnataka

Benjamin Disraeli once said, “The Youth of a Nation are the trustees of posterity”. How can India ignore this quote, after all, being the nation that has the highest number of youths in the world?

The root of every problem in the nation is politics and the only method to solve every problem is through politics. Using good politics, the bad politics need to be uprooted.

And now, a youth leader in Karnataka has created a headache to one of the most powerful leaders of the Congress party. The heavyweight from the Congress party who is in the fear of losing in the 2018 Karnataka Election is none other than the Home Minister R Ramalinga Reddy, who is struggling to make it to the assembly for the seventh time.

Who is this young leader who has given nightmares to the 6 time MLA from Congress?

Initially, when this leader’s name was announced in the list of candidates by the BJP, there were talks that he is no match to the mighty Ramalinga Reddy. But it didn’t take much time for this young leader to challenge the Home Minister of Karnataka and show his mettle.

The young leader is none other than Lallesh Reddy who has been fielded by the BJP in BTM Layout constituency. Mr Lallesh Reddy who is born and brought up in Bangalore boasts of an MBA and is a realtor. Mr Lallesh is confident of what the people need from the MLA and is pretty sure of meeting up with the expectations of his voters.Image may contain: 1 person, sitting and outdoor

“Despite winning the constituency twice and wielding powerful portfolios like transport and home, Ramalinga Reddy has failed to give the constituency its due. Several areas get flooded when it rains. People are looking to a youngster like me to change their lives for the better, by ensuring quality water, good roads and a sewage system. People are also fed up of Ramalinga Reddy’s politics of caste, money and muscle power”, said Mr Lallesh Reddy.

What are the plus points of Lallesh Reddy?

The anger towards Ramalinga Reddy in the minds of the voters is the biggest factor that is in favor of Lallesh Reddy. In the end of 2017, Home Minister Reddy had ended up in a controversy by equating BJP leaders with terrorists.

But when the BJP leaders condemned this behavior of the Home Minister by calling that Karnataka has become a ‘hub for jihadi activities’, the minister responded by saying “I never called all the BJP leaders terrorists. I said only a few BJP leaders are behaving like ISIS”.

In what was called as an attempt of appeasing the minorities, a circular was issued to the heads of all districts on dropping cases registered against “innocent minorities”. But when this sparked controversy the circular was withdrawn by the Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy.

Even when the Hindu activists were killed, Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy had responded quite insensitively. Ramalinga Reddy had even defended CM Siddaramaiah’s “Hindu terror” jibe at BJP-RSS.

It should be noted that G Lallesh Reddy is the nephew of G Janardhana Reddy. Like Lallesh Reddy, BJP has fielded several youths in this assembly election. Among these, the masterstroke of BJP was giving ticket to youth icon MP Sriramulu in 2 constituencies.
