Actress Priyanka Chopra is popular across India for her hypocrisy. She has the unique talent of not following her own words. When Deepawali approaches, this lady turns out to an asthma patient and goes on preaching the Hindus not to burn firecrackers.
But as expected, during her wedding with Nick Jonas — American singer and songwriter who is 10 years younger to her– the bursting of firecrackers had no limit. Now she might come up with defence saying those were eco-friendly fire crackers.
This act of hypocrisy had angered millions of Indians and she was trolled left and right for this on social media. And now India wing of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has slammed the couple for the use of horses and elephants for a complete royal experience.
Below is the statement of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA):
- Dear Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. Eles for weddings live in chains & horses are controlled with whips, spiked bits. People are rejecting ele rides and having horse-free weddings. Congrats, but we regret it was not a happy day for animals.
PETA India put out another statement urging the people not to use the horses in the weddings anymore. PETA stated “Horses are sensitive to noise. Excited crowds, firecrackers, & music at weddings bother these animals. The auditory onslaught of weddings can be too much for them to bear & they often panic, which can lead to accidents. Help by pledging to never use horses for functions”.
Especially in this year, actress Priyanka Chopra has drawn the wrath of Indians after she portrayed Hindus as terrorists in her international TV show Quantico.
Later the producers of Quantico released a statement saying “ABC Studios and the executive producers of Quantico would like to extend an apology to our audience who were offended by the most recent episode, The Blood of Romeo. The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn’t create the show, nor does she write or direct it”.
