After Bogibeel bridge, now the Modi Govt is all set to achieve World’s highest Rail-arch Bridge

2018 has been a tremendous year for India that has got many “firsts” for the country. This year has marked its own level of achievement, thus setting higher standards for the year to come. May it be Economy, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Investment, you name it and India has marked its name right there. That’s not all for the year probably some more great news to come.

After the longest rail-road bridge, the “Bogibeel bridge”, India is all set to get the highest railway arch bridge – “Chenab Bridge” in the world. The Indian Railways is building the world’s highest railway bridge over the Chenab river in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and it is said to be taller than the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris.

India is attaining new heights under the leadership of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This has undoubtedly marked a Golden era in Indian history. This milestone Engineering marvel can be achieved only because of innovative ideas of PM Modi and his dedicated team of true leaders. They have definitely made a mark of their own.

Talking about yet another pride for India, this 1.315 Km long bridge, costing around Rs 1,250 crore, is a part of Jammu-Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Line (JUSBRL) project undertaken by the Ministry of Railways and will traverse along the same line in Jammu and Kashmir. It is being built at a height of 359 metres above the Chenab river which will make it 35 metres taller than the Eiffel Tower. Furthermore, it will have railway stations at both the ends forming a crucial link in 111-km stretch between Katra and Banihal in the state.

It’s time to proudly pat our back for witnessing these historic episodes taking place during our era. Our country is now being recognized in every possible sector and  has made its mark on top of the world. Without second thoughts, we know whom we need to thank for all these events. Let’s not forget to thank him during the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. Our thanksgiving will be worth it then.

As per reports, the DRDO has closely worked with the Indian Railways to ensure that the bridge can withstand any kind of attack. The bridge is being made of 63 mm-thick special blast-proof steel to enhance more security and safety.

According to Indian Railways, the second and third highest railway arch bridges are Najiehe Railway bridge with a height of 310 m at Liuchangxiang, Guizhou, China and Bejpan River Shuibai Railway bridge (at a height of 275 m) at Liupanshui, Guizhou, China, respectively.
