After Kerala students getting voter ID cards in Karnataka, another dirty trick is unearthed! 10,000 voter ID cards found at Bengaluru flat; BJP says Congress rigged the poll

“One of the most used method to win the election is by winning the heart of the voters. But if it fails, then win the election by rigging the poll”. This is what’s happening in Karnataka where after Kerala students were exposed of getting voters’ ID, now nearly 10,000 voters ID is found in Bangalore and the BJP leaders have said that Congress is behind this scam.

After the sensational raid undertaken by the Election Commission (EC), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) urged the Election Commission to countermand the Assembly election in the Rajarajeshwari Nagar segment of the city’s southwest suburb.

The BJP leader Sadananda Gowda said “The Democracy being attacked in Bengaluru . I am shocked at the incident . More than 20000 Voter ID cards found at private apartment . I visited the place personally . This mockery at behest of Congress’s Rajarajeshwari Nagara Candidate Munirathna Naidu”. Mr Gowda included the hashtag “Congress Cheats Democracy”.

Mr Gowda also said that he will meet the Election Commission and urge to withhold the Rajarajeshwari Nagara Constituency Election till the proper investigation is done.

Who is behind this? Congress or BJP?

Soon after the voter IDs were seized, the Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said “Who is Manjula Nanjamuri? She is a BJP leader and an ex-corporator. Who did she rent this house to? To Rakesh, who is Manjula’s son. He contested the corporation election on a BJP ticket in 2015 and lost to the Congress”.

But Rakesh spoke to media and revealed that the apartment didn’t belong to his mother and the seized cards were just 20 percent of the total scam. He added that the owner of the house had joined hands with the Congress MLA candidate. It was he who had informed the Election Commission about the bundle of voter IDs in the apartment, said Rakesh.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday urged the Election Commission to countermand the Assembly election in the Rajarajeshwari Nagar segment of the city’s southwest suburb after about 10,000 allegedly fake voter IDs were allegedly found in the locality.

The Election Commission has said in its press statement that there were 9,746 EPIC cards neatly in small bundles wrapped in paper with some names and phones on the paper. It is alleged that some more cards were there which are allegedly taken away by some of the occupants.
The Election Commission also said “These may be numbering around a lakh. There is need for further verification and inquiry. These have photographs and a printed number in magenta colour which is different than the officially available Form 6 which has no printed number”.

The Election Commission has also lodged an FIR and said that “In this constituency Raja Rajeshwari Nagar, there are 4,35,439 electors with EP ratio of 75.43. During the last Special Summary Revision, 25,825 additions are there, 19,012 additions were done during Continuous Updation. There have been a total deletions of 8817 persons”.
Minister for Human Resource Development, Mr Prakash Javadekar said “BJP demands countermanding of elections in AC 154 Raj Rajeshwari Nagar in light of latest revelations of tens of thousands of fake voter ID and empty packets of hard currency. This is Congress conspiracy to rig election, in face of their imminent defeat”.
