The land of the mosque belongs to Allah and under the Sharia, it cannot be given to anybody.
This is what All India Muslim Personal Law Board -AIMPLB- secretary said, adding that it is against taking the 5-acre plot in Ayodhya
Earlier in the day, the Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind also decided to file a review petition challenging the SC verdict.
The board is of the view that there cannot be any alternative to the mosque.
On the alternative plot for a mosque, the Board said, “We feel that the restitution by granting five acres land, where fundamental values have been damaged to the extent of causing national shame, will in not any manner heal the wounds caused. Even otherwise the effect of this direction would amount to shifting the mosque from one place to another by judicial order without any provocation by the community, which always tried to protect this mosque. Mosques are essential for religious practices of Muslims. Building the same mosque at some other site in situations like this, is also not permissible as per Islamic law.”
Yes wound will not heal! Who better than a Hindus of India can understand that! Our temples we’re plundered, men killed, women violated, captured, tortured as slaves, our moorthis of gods desecreted! How can those wound heal?!
The majestic temple was destroyed to build a mosque upon that. If AIMPLB considers Baber, Aurangazeb, Khiljis and Ghoris as their idol, we can only expect statements like this!
Iqbal Ansari, the main litigant in the Ayodhya land dispute case, on Sunday distanced himself from the decision of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) to file a petition seeking review of the Supreme Court verdict.
Soon after the verdict was pronounced on November 9, Ansari had stated that he would not seek review of the verdict. “There is no use of going for the review as the outcome will remain the same…the move will also vitiate the harmonious atmosphere,” he told PTI after the Board decided to file a review petition in the apex court.
“My views are different from that of the Board and want an end to the mandir-masjid issue at this very point,” he said.
The Wire reports an interesting piece,
Expressing Concerns Over Justice, Civil Society Members Request Review of Ayodhya Verdict . The judgment was made possible only because of the destruction of the Babri Masjid, which was described the court’s as an ‘unlawful act’.
A number of prominent personalities have asked for the Supreme Court’s Ayodhya judgment to be reviewed as it has “caused widespread concern among all those who have the interests of justice and fairness at heart”.
Among those who have signed the request are journalists Dhirendra K. Jha and Pamela Philipose, historian Irfan Habib, academics Jayati Ghosh and Badri Raina and Sohail Hashmi.
These ’eminent'(?) personalities write that,
The Supreme Court’s judgement in the Ayodhya case delivered on 9 November 2019 has caused widespread concern among all those who have the interests of justice and fairness at heart.
So what is fair according to these personalities?! If Hindus get their due justice after fighting for decades, why do these personalities feel it is injustice done?! Why their concern is only about the minorities?! The leading personality among these is the same historian whose work got rejected by the court and was not considered as proof.
Their agenda is Crystal clear. They really do not want peace and harmony to exist. If that happens, their vendetta politics has to come to an end. It will strip them of their livelihood hence none of these eminent historians will bow down before the decision of the Apex body and advice the Muslim personal Law Board to respect and accept judgement of Supereme court.
Owaisi is saying I want my masjid back!
The majority of this country want their 40,000 temples back, but they are communal for asking so. Why this hypocrisy?!! Every Hindu showed what their integrity and composure is. No big celebration, no taunting, no victory marches, even when it was an historic win for them. They thanked the Apex court and maintained peace and decorum. But is it too much expect same behavior from the other party?
If intellectuals and likes of Owaisi are trying to instigated hatred with the only purpose to install fear in the minds of majority, what they have failed to understand is – THAT TIME HAS PASSED! Hindu remained calm not because he is weak, because he respects this land and the law of the land.
Do not expect only the majority to maintain secular fabric of India. The other party can not just time and again pose a threat to tear away. They need to maintain harmony and unity. Other wise it will them at the loss.
