Ulta chor kotwal ko dante!
The above statement perfectly suits the self-proclaimed fact-checking website Alt News. In the garb of fact-checking viral contents, the co-founder of Alt News Pratik Sinha was earlier caught stalking private citizens. And now another of its co-founder Zubair deliberately cropped a video to project that Hindus are against the nation.
Alt News co-founder and the communal and abusive troll Zubair posted a video on his Twitter handle claiming that the members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) of Gonda, Uttar Pradesh raised anti-national slogans during a protest rally against Pakistan.
Have a look at the video:
VHP Nationalists seen raising Anti National slogans 'Hindustan Murdabad'
Nationalist anchors have promised to highlight this on prime time tomorrow if this tweet gets more than 1K RTs. @TajinderBagga ji pls help 🙏🙏 pic.twitter.com/ZZgnLztRJz

As per Zubair’s edited video, the Hindus who held a protest rally against Pakistan are seen chanting slogans against India. But when probed, it was found out that the video was edited to portray the Hindus in a bad light.
Soon, even the Gonda police released a statement and slammed the claim of Alt News co-founder. In the denial statement, the Gonda police said that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad held a protest rally against the terror attack by Pakistan on the CRPF jawans.
The police statement denied any anti-national slogans being raised by the karyakarthas of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). In a series of tweets, the Gonda police exposed the conspiracy of the communals who wanted to attach anti-national tag on the Hindus of Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

Shocking thing is, even after getting caught red-handed, the co-founder of Alt News didn’t delete his edited tweet which was shared hundreds of times by his followers. The purpose behind Zubair’s tweet was to divide Indians who have united against Pakistan.
This is the reality of the self-proclaimed fact-checking website Alt News. Since its inception, it has been targeting the followers of Indian Prime Minister and right-winger Twitteratis. The irony is that Alt News’ Pratik Sinha runs a website Truth of Gujarat which is filled by ocean of fake news.
