What could not happen in the past 25 years of Left rule in Tripura will happen now! The party that couldn’t get change for Tripura in the past 25 years, this wave of change will be got by BJP now.
CPM’s 20 year old reign ended as Tripura openely chose over “Modi Sarkar” in the Assembly Elections of 2018. Tripura did a complete 180-degree as it swung from the Left to the Right in assembly election 2018. One of CPM’s last-standing bastions fell to the BJP’s onslaught, as Tripura pressed the button for a ‘Modi Sarkar’ and ended the 20-year reign of CPM this year.
In a quite confident move, the Tripura CM Biplab Deb has come forward to reopen the case of RSS workers killed under suspicious circumstances, almost around 20 years back.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb said that in the massacre of 20-year-old RSS workers, we formed the SIT on the basis of conspiracy doubts. For investigating the matter, the team has been formed under the leadership of Inspector Kamalendu Bhowmick. Earlier, the state government had ordered a fresh investigation in the case of murder of Congress Panchayat chief Ashish Chaudhary in 1993 just a week ago. Congress party leaders have been accusing CPM workers of involvement in the massacre. This case was also lying in cold storage for a long time.
In the month of August 1999, the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), four RSS pracharaks Shyamlal Sengupta (general secretary), Sudhaima Dutta (in-charge of Agartala), Dinendra Nath Dey (campaigner in Assam) and Shubhankar Chakraborty (district campaigner) all of the above were kidnapped, after which they were murdered.
Remembering the four Swayamsevaks kidnapped and killed by extremists in Tripura many years ago. Of them I knew Shyamalda and Sudhamoyda very well. Shall ask the new government to find their remains if possible pic.twitter.com/cvr47nUf5z

And the Media lies about the sacrifices made by the RSS organisation. Hundreds of swayamsevaks have sacrificed their lives to liberate India from the clutches of communists and the Congress. This selfless service by these RSS workers goes unseen which is a sad part of their lives. These Four RSS pracharaks were allegedly killed by National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), the BJP-led Tripura government has constituted a special investigation team (SIT) to reopen the case.
“We sensed a conspiracy behind the incident and constituted an SIT, headed by inspector Kamalendu Bhowmik – who is well-acquainted with the case – to re-investigate the case,” chief minister Biplab Deb told TOI on Sunday.
This comes weeks after the state government ordered a fresh probe into the killing of Congress panchayat chief Atish Choudhury, stabbed to death in 1993. Congress leaders had claimed CPM cadres were involved in the murder but the case had made no headway then. In the pracharaks’ murder case, RSS had raised the demand for an independent inquiry several times but the state government, with the Left Front at the helm, had not acceded to the demand.
The 48-year-old Biplab Kumar Deb, who is a longtime RSS volunteer. He has been the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura since 7 January 2016. He led the BJP to victory in the 2018 Legislative Assembly Election, defeating 25 years rule of the Left Front government led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He took his oath as the 10th Chief Minister of Tripura on 9 March 2018.
Deb led the Tripura’s Election campaign and successfully defeated Left Front after 25 years by winning 44 seats with his ally Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura out of possible 60 seats in Tripura. The day after the results he went to CPI(M) Party Office to meet with outgoing Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and seek his blessings for the new government. He also paid his tribute to the late minister Khagendra Jamatia. Biplab Deb warned his fellow party workers to stay away from any sort of violence in Tripura. He became the Youngest Chief Minister of India at the time of his election
Biplab Deb campaigned on the subject of youth employment opportunities, which he promised to improve if elected Chief Minister of Tripura. He also promised that he would pay 7th Pay Commission to all the employees of Tripura. He praised PM Narendra Modi during the campaign and stated that he considers him as his political Guru.
