Hindus are taken for granted, even today. While Congress and allies are not letting the Modi government to scrap the primitive triple talaq practice, the Hindus are haunted just because they protested held a silent protest by lightening diyas for nearly 800 kilometres in Kerala.
On 26th December, from Kasargod to Kanyakumari a distance of 795 km was covered by the Ayyappa devotees with lighting lamps and vowing to protect the age-old customs of Sabarimala. Millions of devotees who were deeply hurt by the recent attempts to disrespect Ayyappa Swamy took part in it.
Sabarimala Karma Samithi general convenor S J R Kumar said that “Around 21 lakh devotees participated in the programme outside Kerala. People gathered in large numbers and lighted lamps in 11 states reflecting the sentiments of devotees. The CPM unleashed widespread violence against the devotees participating in the Ayyappa Jyothi programme in Kannur and Kasargod districts. As many as 31 devotees, including 10 women and three children, suffered grievous injuries, while 60 others sustained minor injuries in the attack. This reveals the intolerance of the ruling party”.
But now the Kerala police have filed cases against 1400 individuals for taking part in the state-wide Ayyappa Jyothi event on December 26, which was organised by the Sabarimala Karma Samithi. By this one can assess the hatred that is prevailing in Kerala against the Hindus.
In Angamaly, Perumbavoor, Muvattupuzha and Kuruppampady the police have registered cases against unidentified persons who took part in the protest under sections 147 (rioting), 283 (danger or obstruction to public line of navigation) and 149 (unlawful assembly for common object).
So coming out on streets and holding a peaceful and meaningful protest to protect one’s culture is now eligible to get jailed under the Pinarayi Vijayan led communist government, which has the support of Congress party. But supporting terrorists are not even arrested.
