Days ago, Communist Party of India Marxist (CPIM) general secretary Sitaram Yechury had made a cheap remark against the Hindus and their epic Ramayana and Mahabharata. This statement was condemned by millions and now renowned Yoga guru Baba Ramdev had lodged a complaint against Sitaram Yechury.
After filing a complaint, Baba Ramdev said “We have filed a complaint against Yechury for insulting our ancestors. It is an offence. He should be put behind bars. We have demanded a strict investigation into the matter”.
He added “Sitaram Yechury should ask forgiveness from the entire Hindu society. He has not only insulted the great Mahabharata and Ramanyana, but he has also insulted thousand-year of Vedic civilisation, culture, nature and Indian tradition. India’s tradition, Ramayana, Mahabharata taught togetherness, coexistence, harmony, friendship, love, kindness, justice, we have taught the way of the truth, we have considered the whole world a family, we cannot even think of quarreling, we consider quarreling also as an evil thing. In our Mahabhatra, Ramayana, Geeta, one thing that has been mentioned maximum times is the advice to not quarrel”.

Days ago Sitaram Yechury had insulted and hurt the Hindus by saying “Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur said that Hindus don’t believe in violence. Many kings and principalities have fought battles in the country. Even the Ramayana and Mahabharata are also filled with instances of violence. Being a pracharak, you narrate the epics but still claim Hindus can’t be violent? What is the logic behind saying there is a religion which engages in violence and we Hindus don’t”.
Earlier, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had slammed Sitaram Yechury for his derogatory statement by saying “If Sitaram Yechury says ‘Ramayana and Mahabharata’ are replete with ‘instances of violence’, then he should remove ‘Sitaram’ from his name. If he is so averse to revered Hindu epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata, he should change his name to Babar, Afzal Khan, Aurangzeb or Chengis Khan whichever suits him”.
Shocking thing is, why politicians like Sitaram Yechury attack only Hinduism?
