Four hundred and ninety two long years, century old legal battle has finally concluded and the millions of prayers have been finally answered.
The Supreme Court of India, gave it’s verdict on the long standing Ram Janmabhoomi dispute.
In the verdict of Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit, apex court ruled that the 2.77 acres of disputed land in Ayodhya would be handed over to a trust for the construction of a Ram Mandir. Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi said that a 5-acre land will be allotted to the Sunni Waqf Board in an alternate site in Ayodhya.

* SC says there should be alternate land given to Muslims to make good their loss of a mosque.
* Sunni Wakf Board to be granted 5 acres land in “suitable, prominent place in Ayodhya”.
* Nirmohi Akhara suit barred by limitation and dismissed. Sunni Wakf Board within limitation. Ramlalla Virajman suit is within the limitation period.
* Centre to frame scheme under which it will constitute a trust within three months and hand over inner and outer court to trust.
* SC grants entire 2.77 acre of disputed land in Ayodhya to deity Ram Lalla.
After this historical verdict,
In his address to the nation Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday said Supreme Court had ruled in a historic case.
“World has seen how strong our democracy is. Today’s events will be recorded in history,” PM Modi said.
Following the verdict, PM Modi said the order should not be seen as win or loss for anybody, and appealed to countrymen to maintain peace and harmony.
In a series of tweets, Modi ji also asserted that the judgment clearly illustrates that everybody is equal before the law.
“Be it Ram Bhakti or Rahim Bhakti (devotion to Ram or Rahim), it is imperative that we strengthen the spirit of rashtra bhakti (devotion to the country),”
The verdict has been received the Indians in a most calm, tolerant and the verdict has been celebrated by both the parties with a sense of brotherhood. Prime minister Modi said Today’s events will be recorded in history. Acceptance of Ayodhya verdict reflects our tolerant nature.
PM Modi inaugurated Kartarpur corridor earlier in the day, flagging off the first batch of over 500 Indian pilgrims here, including former prime minister Manmohan Singh and Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal. From the Pakistani side, Prime Minister Imran Khan also formally inaugurated the Kartarpur corridor. The inauguration comes days ahead of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev on November 12.
“The halls of justice have amicably concluded a matter going on for decades. Every side, every point of view was given adequate time and opportunity to express differing points of view. This verdict will further increase people’s faith in judicial processes,” the PM tweeted.
Congratulating the judges PM Modi said,
“Today is also a golden chapter in the history of the Indian judiciary. During the hearing on this subject, the Supreme Court heard everyone, listened very patiently and gave a unanimous decision. The Supreme Court has shown strong will behind this decision. And therefore, the judges of the country, the courts and our judicial system deserve accolades,”
During his address, PM Modi drew a parallel between the SC verdict and falling of Berlin wall.
“November 9 is the date when 30 years ago Berlin wall fell, reuniting people of two communities. On this day, Kartarpur Corridor has been inaugurated and today, with the decision on Ayodhya, this date of November 9 has also given us a lesson to move forward together. Today’s message is to add – to join and to live together,” PM said.
The prime minister said that there is no place for fear, bitterness and negativity in new India.
Prime minister Modi rightly reflected every Indians emotions when he said, The decision of the Supreme Court has brought a new dawn for us. The controversy which had affected many generations, but after this decision, we have to make a resolution that now a new generation will start building a new India.
“Now as a society, every Indian has to work by giving priority to his duty, his duty. The harmony between us, our unity, our peace, is very important for the development of the country.” He said.
Today every class, every community, people of every sect, whole country has accepted the verdict with open heart, it reflects on the ancient culture, traditions and sense of harmony in India. No doubt,
