Finally, the court has declared its judgment to Godman, who was found guilty on Frida for raping two disciples. It has proved that Baba had assaulted Sadwi (one of his follower) for three years.
The advocate who argued in favor of CBI demanded the court to declare life imprisonment to Baba. The source said that while hearing, the Godman was crying to gain sympathy.
The court has declared “10 years imprisonment” for The Godman today. Rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim sentenced under Sections 376, 506 and 511 of IPC.
CBI lawyer had asked for maximum punishment and sought life imprisonment, where as Defence argued that Ram Rahim Singh is a social worker who worked for the welfare of people.
In a desperate attempt to plead for leniency, rapist Ram Rahim invoked his role in ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign and also sought for a change in jail.
Special CBI judge Jagdeep Singh had allotted 10 minutes each to both sides to put forth their arguments. Judge Jagdeep Singh landed in Rohtak in a helicopter to deliver the sentence in the prison.
Prior to the announcement, 10 centers of the Dera Sacha Sauda had been sealed by the police in Rohtak, considering the volatile situation. The police had also created barricades and interceptions in a manner that no followers of the Dera Sacha Sauda were allowed to enter the district. High alert has been taken in order to prevent violence around Rohtak Jail.

Well, we all know that he acts too smart in his movies. On the behalf of his punishment, might be he is thinking that his punishment will be down by creating such nuisance in court premises.

Dera Sacha leader was found guilty on Friday, in the 15 years old case. Within a minute, his followers clashed with security forces, leaving 38 people dead and 250 injured. 32 were
killed in Panchkula and 6 died in Sirsa, the headquarters of the sect.
A special CBI court near Rohtak town in Haryana heard arguments by 2.30pm on the quantum of punishments. It is believed that the punishment could range from seven years to life imprisonment, in the district jail at Sunaria where the flamboyant Dera Sacha chief is lodged.
Back in Delhi, the officials said that there were no metro rail diversions or restrictions. ““…these are just rumors to propagate false stories,” Delhi Police PRO Madhur Verma said
“Delhi Police have made proper arrangements and deployment. Additional forces have been
mobilized.” He added.
The deployment of undercover policemen to guard sensitive locations across the national capital is among a slew of measures devised at a high-level police meeting, protecting the city today.

Miscreants had set on fire two train coaches at Anand Vihar railway terminal, torched a few
buses in parts of west and east Delhi and pelted stones at least in 12 locations across the city after Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s conviction.
“We will not allow anyone to create any sort of trouble in Rohtak. Anyone breaking law or indulging in acts of violence or arson will himself be responsible for his fate. Anyone creating trouble will be given a warning first and if he still pays no heed, then he will have to face the bullet,” Atul Kumar told reporters in Rohtak, where the army has been kept on standby.

No movement of people, other than those authorized, will be allowed within a distance of 10km from the prison premises.“We are fully prepared for any situation. The army has been kept on stand-by,” Haryana director general of police (DGP) BS Sandhu said.
Rohtak range Inspector General (IG) Navdeep Singh Virk said earlier, that 28 companies of
paramilitary forces, along with Haryana Police, have been deployed in Rohtak.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) special court judge Jagdeep Singh, who had on Friday held the Dera chief guilty of rape and criminal intimidation of two female disciples in 2002, has flown today to Rohtak for announcing the sentence.
Security forces are on high alert again on today in Haryana and Punjab as both states braced for the sentencing.
When he was found guilty on Friday, there was huge violence took place. Now, some his followers may rise again! There’s a chance of violence around restricted areas too.
