Big Breaking! Samajwadi Party split official, Mulayam Singh Yadav to head Samajwadi Secular Morcha

The Samajwadi Party has not recovered from the internal rifts within the party. Prior to the UP elections, Akhilesh had disrespected his father, before electing himself as the new party chief. He was even said to be in loggerheads with his uncle Shivpal Yadav. Shivpal was deeply hurt by the manner in which Akhilesh had mocked his father. Shivpal Yadav on Friday said that his brother & the founder of SP, Mulayam Singh Yadav, would now head a new party. The party would be called ‘Samajwadi Secular Morcha.’

The aim of forming the party was to restore Mulayalam’s lost honour. The former SP chief, who is now 77 years old, was credited with the growth of the party. However, in 2012 he decided to take a back seat & give his son the charge. Things turned ugly when Akhilesh teamed up with his uncle Ramgopal Yadav (mulayam’s cousin) & opposed his father before the 2017 UP assembly elections. He decided to throw out Amar Singh from the party & even conspired against uncle, Shivpal.

Shivpal had maintained that if it was not for his brother, he would have left the party long back. Akhilesh tried a different strategy in the UP elections where he teamed up with the Congress party. The partnership was a complete debacle, with both parties being trounced completely. Even after the debacle, Akhilesh refused to take responsibility & refused to hand over the top post to his father. Shivpal had earlier threatened his nephew to bear the consequences if he failed to hand over the reins of the party to Mulayam Singh Yadav.
