Modi Government has always worked for the betterment of every sector of society. It has always come up with new schemes and policies benefitting the people of the nation. This time the benefeciaries of good work delivered by Modi Government is “Sex Workers”.
According to the Financial Express reports, “Modi Government has come up with a plan that will deliver a dignified life to them. Now they had to no longer face violence, health risks, disrespect, stress and discrimination as Government is going to empower them with an alternative career and the responsibility of it vested with The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) which is under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).”
Recently, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) had undertaken the project to train 13 girls aged between 15 to 18 years who were victims of human trafficking and In a statement issued last week, it announced successful completion of skill training of these girls in the unarmed security guard job role.Yes !!! you read it right. Now these Girls will work as reputed Security Guards not as Sex Workers! And, that is what every women want! A dignified life in society no matter who she is!
Some time ago, these girls who were working in red-light areas were rescued from G.B. Road in Delhi by the Special Police Unit for Women & Children, a body of the Delhi Police. “After their rescue, these girls went through counselling and later were involved in skill training programmes through a make-shift training centre at Dwarka Home for Women for a month,” said a statement by NSDC.
As part of a Special Project, under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), the girls underwent a one-month training and then were trained in a special project.
“Exploitation of marginalised sex workers is a pitiable situation. The vision of ‘Skill India’ can be harnessed when the entire workforce be utilised effectively for its development. Our collaborative effort with Delhi Police aims to protect the trafficked girls at a young age and channelise their efficiencies by engaging them in productive vocations,” said MSDE Joint Secretary Rajesh Agrawal.
“NSDC also aims to give them access to alternative sources of income. Participation in the skill training programme also helped the participants in getting rid of the stigma and helped boost their self-esteem and confidence,” NSDC ED & COO Jayant Krishna said.
The current move by Modi Government has made it loud and clear that Government that it will not let anyone suffer. It has proved that Modi Government clearly understands that women empowerment is vital to development of country and will work in this direction with full dedication. And, Ts what proved Modi government’s motto, “Women Empowerment”
Now, those so called women empowerment leaders should be questioned who always flatter their work about rescuing those women who suffers! But, in reality no such activists have ever taken any actions as taken by Modi Government for upliftment of women? Now what Opposition has to say about this who always targets Modi on What Modi Government is doing for women? Modi Government so far has always stood upto expectations and has always worked in direction of fulfilling its motto of “Women Empowerment”.
