In the results declared yesterday of Karnataka Assembly Elections, the BJP has won 104 seats while the Congress has 78 MLAs. The JD(S) secured 37 seats while the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janatha Party got one seat each. One seat went to an independent candidate.
After no party getting the clear majority the question now on everyone’s mind is, What would happen, Which party will form the Government? Although the Congress and JD(s) are claiming that they have enough numbers to cross the majority mark and all their MLAs are supporting them but the situation appears to be completely different with the information coming that some of the MLAs of the Congress party has not attended the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Meeting that was held for discussing the further course of action of the Congress Party.
According to the news agency ANI, out of 78 MLAs of the Congress Party, only 66 MLAs have reached the meeting of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) .

According to Republic World, Yesterday also news floated that total 15 MLAs in talks with BJP. 9 from JD(S) and 6 from Congress. Also, Congress Lingayat MLAs have threatened to leave the party.
Earlier in the morning, it was also reported that four MLA-elected from the Hyderabad-Karnataka region are also missing. Congress is trying their best to contact the MLAs but is unable to contact. The MLAs in concern are Anand Singh, Kudligi Nagendra, MY Patil and Rajshekhar Patil.
Siddaramaiah has denied all such reports and said “All the Congress MLAs are intact. Nobody is missing. We are confident of forming the government”. But in reality, the party is not able to get in touch with the MLAs.
The Congress in fear that their MLAs should not be poached is going for resort politics. They are trying their best to safeguard their MLAs by sending them to the resorts so that the MLAs should not be lured by BJP. Even the Kerala Tourism has offered exciting offers to the Congress Party MLAs to come and relax over there.
Kerala Tourism tweeted, “After the rough and tumble of the #KarnatakaVerdict, we invite all the MLAs to unwind at the safe and beautiful resorts of God’s Own Country. #ComeOutAndPlay.”
There is a possibility that Congress and JDS may move these MLAs to safer resorts as they did not want BJP to form government at any cost.

Whatever games Congress may play, but one thing is sure, BJP is going to prove the majority and coming to power in Karnataka.
