In a big setback to Congress President Rahul Gandhi, the apex court has come heavily over the Congress President for spreading lies on the name of Supreme Court in case of Rafale.
According to reports, after filing his nomination for Amethi Lok Sabha seat on 10 April, Congress President Rahul Gandhi had claimed that the apex court has “made it clear” that Prime Minister Narendra Modi “committed a theft”.
“Now the Supreme Court has made it clear that ‘Chowkidarji’ has committed a theft,” he had said, adding that the bench has “accepted that there is some corruption in Rafale”.
Upon which the Congress Chief has been slammed by the top Court. The Court has sought an explanation from Congress president for “incorrectly attributing” to the top court that it had said “Chowkidar Narendra Modi Chor hai. (Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a thief) in its Rafale judgment.
A bench presided over by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi preferred to clarify that it had never made any such statement attributed to the court. “This court had no occasion to record such views and observations. We have decided only on legal questions of admissibility of some documents opposed by Attorney General,” the bench said
The Court has asked Congress President to give clear answers by April 22nd which has been fixed as the next date for hearing in the matter.
The Apex Court has issued a notice to Congress President seeking an explanation from him on a criminal contempt petition filed by Bharatiya Janata Party MP Meenakshi Lekhi. In the petition, Lekhi had sought contempt action against Congress chief for allegedly attributing to the top court his own remarks on the Rafale verdict and trying to create prejudice.
This is the culture of Congress which went to any extent just to spread their false propaganda. They can frame lies even on the name of Apex Court to fool people. But by slamming Congress President the Apex Court has put an end to the lies of Congress President and has sought an answer from him
