In every election the Congress party spends lakhs of lakhs of rupees for the printing of the slogan “garibi hatao” (remove poverty) but what it did was “Gareeb ko looto” (loot the poor). But now the Modi government has formulated a master plan through which crores of poor in India will get a minimum monthly income. This will not just improve the standard of living of Indians but will also help to eliminate many other problems that the nation is facing.
In an exclusive news break by My Nation, it stated “The government is all set to roll out a direct benefit transfer (DBT) scheme for the below poverty line (BPL) population of the country. As a part of this plan, the Modi government will transfer Rs 2,000-2,500 per month to every BPL household as part of a welfare push through DBT”.
To implement this scheme the Modi government would incur an expenditure of somewhere between Rs 30,000-40,000 crore a year to run the scheme. Currently there are nearly 30 crore Indians who are below the poverty line and once the Modi government implements this scheme, all these poor will be leading a better life style.
One should note that there are few countries in the world that are experimenting with this scheme of transferring monthly income to its people. The countries are Netherlands, Kenya, Canada and the United States.
This scheme is strongly backed by several billionaires such as Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Even the past legends like Martin Luther King Junior and Philosopher Thomas Paine had backed this scheme.
Recently the Modi government had said even the economically weaker sections of the society would avail 10 per cent reservation in jobs and education. Now if the basic income is announced for the poor, BJP will be clearly having an upper hand in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections because the poor and the middle classes were the ones who had backed the Modi led BJP in 2014. And even this time they will happily give one more term to Narendra Modi led BJP
