What Bollywood celebrities think of PM Modi’s move of demonetisation !

Bollywood has become an inseparable part of our lives and more importantly, the national discourse. Be it any policy of the government, or new initiative, a surgical strike on Pakistan or even a day to day issue, Bollywood stars have been very vocal about their views on various issues of national importance. At 8 pm sharp on November 8, the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi took one of the boldest moves in the history of India when he demonetized high denomination currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000. This time, entire Bollywood has strongly supported PM Modi’s move and have stood firmly behind him. Let us see how various Bollywood stars reacted and supported the PM on this move.

Aamir Khan, who raised his voice on the growing intolerance after Dadri incident, also came out in support of PM Modi’s demonetization during the launch of Dangal music. He said, “I think these issues which are concerning our country are more important. We shouldn’t see the short term impact of it. The things that we need to do for the country, we should do it. Even if it (demonetisation) causes loss to my film, I will see it as a small thing.”

Ajay Devgn, whose movie Shivay has been released, profusely praised Narendra Modi and told he was ready to face the loss in his movie as the greater good of the nation was more important !

Randeep Hooda also came out in full support of PM Modi’s demonetization and trended with the hashtag #proud and #ModiFightsCorruption.

During an interview with NDTV Aishwarya Rai was asked to voice her opinion on the current issue of demonetization. This is what she had to say, “”As a citizen, honestly I will say congratulations Mr Prime Minister. You have gone ahead with a very strong move for your larger plan to wipe out corruption in our country and that’s the larger overview we as a country need to recognize. If all the Bollywood celebrities, common man and honest people are supporting the initiative despite the inconvenience, why is it that a few politicians are opposing this move ??
