The troubles for P.Chidambaram and his son Karthi Chidambaram is increasing day by day. After Subramanian Swamy raised the issue of corruption and massive forex violations by Chidambaram, his son and the company owned by them, now it is the Enforcement Directorate which has slapped a show cause notice to Karthi Chidambaram, the son of former finance minister P.Chidambaram for forex violations to the tunes of Rs 2262 crores.
The Enforcement Directorate today issued a show-cause notice to Karti Chidambaram, son of senior Congress leader and former finance minister P. Chidambaram and others for alleged forex violations to the tune of Rs. 45 crore. After over two years of investigations, the Enforcement Directorate issued a similar notice to another Chennai based firm M/s Vasan Health Care Private Limited, for alleged forex violations of Rs. 2,262 crore. P.Chidambaram and his son Karthi Chidambaram are on the management board and beneficiaries of the companies, which are involved in money laundering by violation of forex rules.
The Enforcement Directorate has also issued a show-cause notice to another firm M/s Advantage Strategic Consulting Private Limited, its directors and also to Karthi P. Chidambaram who appears to be the controller and ultimate beneficiary in these transactions. Enforcement Directorate said that under the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA),the total amount of contravention identified by the ED, by M/s Vasan Healthcare Private Limited and its overseas investors on different counts in the investments received from overseas investors is nearly Rs.2,100 crore and additional Rs. 162 crore, totalling to Rs. 2,262 crore.
Even after Congress has been out of the power, the cases of corruption against Congress leaders and their relatives keep on tumbling with every passing day.
