The Jammu & Kashmir Government has lifted the ban on social media. The ban was imposed from the 26th of last month to avoid people from inciting Kashmiri Youth in the valley. People from the valley will now have access to social networking sites. The state government has not extended its ban to the 22 sites and people will even be able to use Whatsapp from now on.
The ban was a result of the increasing violence in the state. The stone pelters were initially affected by the historic decision of demonetization. The valley went calm for some time, but soon the separatists and anti nationals were back to their agenda. They were spewing venom & inciting youngsters against their own nation.
The violence increased during the bypolls. This was also the time when National hero Major Nitin Gogoi not only used his presence of mind and saved many lives. The major tied a stone pelter to the army jeep, so that stone pelters would not chuck stones at the army officials. Major Gogoi could have fired in self-defence, but being a responsible & patriotic citizen he chose not to harm anyone.
Defence Minister Arun Jaitley told Republic Tv that there was a need to isolate the separatists in the valley. Arun Jaitley in an exclusive interview to Arnab Goswami said that the separatists were only spelling venom against the nation & they had to be isolated completely to restore peace in the valley.
