Maoists said that the CRPF didn’t die for country but they were killed for the atrocities they made on the people. The letter said that Akshay Kumar should not come forward to help the families of CRPF Jawans killed in Sukhma attacks. They also said that he should join the Maoists moment and lend his support. Maoists also appealed other actors, sports persons and celebrities to stand up with them for their revolutionary works against the Indian Govt.
Brigadier Ponwar (Retd) said “CRPF Jawans fought and laid down their life for the nation. He also said that Maoists are losing their grounds heavily in certain areas as Indian forces are aggressively cracking down their hideouts. So this was another kind of warfare tactics followed by them.
Recently Actor Akshay Kumar had donated Rs 9 lakh each to the families of the 12 CRPF personnel who were killed in a recent Maoist ambush in Chhattisgarh. The “Holiday” actor donated Rs 1 crore and eight lakh in total.
Akshay Kumar had even launched an app with an objective to enable willing donors to contribute towards the families of the brave hearts who sacrificed their life in line of duty. The amount so donated will be credited to the account of ‘Next of Kin’ of those Central Armed Police Force/Central Para Military Force soldiers.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Akshay said, “This website has been made exactly in two and a half months. This idea came in my mind, while watching a documentary film on terrorists, which showed how terror leaders financially support the families of the terrorist who carry out terror acts.
London Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal also decided to donate Rs.6 lakh- Rs.50, 000 each to the families of the 12 CRPF Jawans.
