Budget 2018!!! Here’s the “Acche Din” for the farmers of India

As expect, budget 2018 will be full of new and pro-Indians schemes. “India has achieved an average of 7.4% GDP growth in first 3 years of our government”, this how Finance Minister Mr Arun Jaitely.

Farmers, homeless, job creation were the main focus of the “Budget 2018” and it seems like the expectations of all the Indians will be fulfilled. Even the health care sector will be allotted a big fund in this scheme.

Highlights of the what Finance Minister said in the initial minutes!

  • Indian economy is now 2.5 trillion dollar economy in the world and expected to become the fifth largest economy very soon. IMF has projected India will grow at 7.4% next year. We are set to achieve high growth.
  • ishery and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund and Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Fund to be set up – total corpus Rs. 10,000 crore.
  • Agri-Market Development Fund with a corpus of Rs 2000 crore to be set up for developing agricultural markets.
  • 470 APMCs have been connected to eNAM network, the rest to be connected by March 2018.

  • Agriculture is an enterprise and we want to help farmers to produce more and get higher prices for his produce.
  • Allocation in food processing ministry is being doubled to Rs 1,400 crore from Rs 715 crore. State-of-the art facilities to be set up in 42 mega food parks.
  • 10 lakh to 11 lakh crore – credit for agricultural activities.
  • Government will extend a favourable taxation treatment to farmer-producer organisations for helping farmers to aggregate needs of input farm services, processing and services.

Even the stock market was positive as the Sensex opened 151.43 points higher at 36,179.18, while NSE’s Nifty was at 11,072.85 points.
