On 21st November 2012, the entire country heard the news that Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab was hanged on the early hours in Yerwada Jail in Pune for conspiring terror attack against India on 26/11 2008 which killed over 150 and injuring more than 300 people on the fateful night.
Ajmal Kasab was caught by Assistant sub-inspector Tukaram Omble, who sacrificed his life in the process of catching Kasab. Later Kasab was produced in court on cases of terror attacks, after two years of court proceedings, he was finally proved guilty of 80 offenses including murder, waging war against India, possessing explosives. On 6th May 2010 he was sentenced to death on four counts and to a life sentence on five counts. Some people moved to Bombay High court appealing to cancel the death sentence, but the Bombay High Court on 21 February 2011 upheld the death sentence of Kasab. Another mercy petition was submitted in the Supreme Court which was also canceled and the Supreme Court of India on 29 August 2012 upheld the Bombay High Court decision to hang Kasab.
But there is a conspiracy theory behind the story of hanging Ajmal Kasab. The Congress government was accused of spending crores of tax payers money giving 5-star facility to Kasab in jail. Ajamal Kasab who was serving jail term in Mumbai’s Arthur Road jail, was suddenly shifted to Yerwada Jail in Pune when the date of his execution neared, without giving proper reasons or information and was hanged the very next day on 21st November 2012. The lame excuse the government gave was that the Mumbai prison did not have any hangman to perform the job and hence Kasab had to be shifted to Pune. But if this was the real reason, wasn’t it easy to bring the hangman to Mumbai, instead of taking Kasab to Pune spending lakhs of money?? When he was brought to Pune, only the jail superintendent was informed about his identity and none knew that Kasab was shifted to Pune.
According to few relevant sources the real reason he was shifted to Pune was because Ajmal Kasab was actually suffering from Dengue and without proper treatment his condition had worsened. Suddenly his condition got critical and said to have died even before he was hanged. So he may have been shifted to Pune just to be buried there and escaping media scrutiny. It is said that even top leaders in the Congress did not know about the news of Ajmal Kasab until it appeared on television.
When the courts had already pronounced that Kasab was to be hanged, why was his execution carried out very secretly? Obviously his fate was sealed the day he attacked India, but the way the Congress government took sudden decision over his hanging poses many doubts whether Kasab had died due to dengue. The Congress government which was always accused of favoring terrorists may have done this to save face and project themselves that they took tough action against terrorists.
