With the announcement of election dates for LokSabha Elections 2019, the bad days for Congress party has already started. Various leaders of Congress party have started resigning from the party and switching to BJP. Whereas some of the senior leaders of the Congress party are showing unwillingness to contest and are not ready to fight from any seat in 2019 Elections

Some of the senior leaders have even shown the discontentment on the yesterday’s comment of their party President Rahul Gandhi where he referred terrorist Masood Azhar with too much respect by adding ‘ Ji’ to his name. The senior leaders have said “We are in damage control mode all the time”. And they have also threatened to resign from the party

Amidst this another big jolt to Congress has come from Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) Chief Mayawati who has dumped the Congress party and refused to forge any alliance with Congress in any state
“It has been reiterated once again that Bahujan Samaj Party will not have any alliance with Congress party in any state, to contest the upcoming elections,” Mayawati said.

The announcement comes in the wake of the BSP deciding to ally with Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party for Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. Ajit Singh’s Rashtriya Lok Dal too is part of the SP-BSP alliance, which left out the Congress from the pre-poll pact.

In Uttar Pradesh out of the 80 Lok Sabha seats, the SP-BSP has decided to fight on all seats except on two Congress bastions of Amethi and Rae Bareli, represented by Rahul and Sonia Gandhi, respectively.
SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav has also made it clear that Congress can’t be a part of this alliance. Yesterday he has said it is too late to accomodate the Congress in the UP alliance.

“I think now Congress party should help this alliance, now that the parties have started going to the field. It is too late for them now, everybody’s prepared and we all must understand that the Bharatiya Janata Party is a stronger force. They have alliances with several parties, they have the strength of the RSS,” Yadav told Gulf News in an interview.

Even some of the other leaders of Mahagathbandhan have decided not to contest the election. Every party and leader knows that BJP is a stronger party and it is not easy to beat the party in the election. So they have started back tracking their steps. No matter how hard Congress tries nothing can save Congress party from its end
