Controversial activist Rehana Fatima who tried to enter Sabarimala temple arrested for hurting Hindu sentiments in her Facebook post!

So called activist Rehana Fatima who had created huge controversy while trying to enter Sabarimala Temple has been arrested by Pathanamthitta Police following a controversial facebook post which hurt Hindu sentiments.

This lady who had posted a very controversial post on Facebook on October 20th were derogatory in nature and hurt Hindu sentiments. A case was filed against her on 22nd October to Pathanamthitta Police under IPC section 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) based on a complaint filed by Sabarimala Samrakshana Samithi.

The complaint was given directly to District Police Chief of Pathanamthitta by the Sabarimala Samrakshana Samiti secretary P Padmakumar who had demanded immediate action against her. On October 20th, Rehana Fatima moved to Kerala High Court seeking anticipatory bail, but her bail plea was rejected.

Today, the police have finally arrested her for hurting religious sentiments. But this lady is not new to controversy as she has always been a Hindu hater and has projected Hindu religion in bad light with her fake stories.

She was also one among those who had organised the Kiss of Love campaign against moral policing which had sparked huge controversy. The couple who started this campaign were later arrested on charges of running brothel houses and encouraging prostitution.

Rahana Fatima had sometime back in March posted a picture of her bare chest and another picture covering her breasts with two watermelons. This was deliberately done to protest a derogatory, sexist comment made by a Muslim professor in Kozhikode about women’s breasts.

She has also acted in a film called “Eka” produced by her partner Manoj K Sreedhar. The film is focused on “intersexuality”. The film features nudity and several bold scenes with Fathima. The film’s poster goes, “I am intersex, I have a pe*is and a va*ina by birth, I want to live”.

When questioned about her movies, she had said “I use my body as a tool to protest these stereotypes and orthodox attitudes towards a woman’s body,” Fathima told India Today.
