Recently in an interview with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, PM Modi had said “I have many good friends in the Opposition. We do eat food together once or twice a year”. He went on to speak about Mamata Banerjee stating “Despite all the rivalry, didi personally selects and sends me kurtas every year. She also sends me sweets as she knows I am fond of Bengali sweets”.
It was expected that Mamata Banerjee would react warmly to this statement of PM Modi. But her reaction stunned everyone as she revealed her plan on how to break the teeth of PM Modi.
Mamata Banerjee stated in Asansol that “Modi didn’t come to Bengal earlier and in elections he needs votes from Bengal. We will give him rasgulla from Bengal. We will make sweets from soil and put pebbles in it similarly like cashew nuts and raisins are used in laddu, that will break teeth“.
This was yet another cheap statement made by the West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee. At one end BJP supporters are butchered in her state and yet another end she speaks on causing harm to the Prime Minister of the nation.
There is a reason for Mamata Banerjee’e frustration on PM Modi. Currently, surveys are claiming that Bharatiya Janata Party will secure over 20 seats in West Bengal and this claim has rattled Mamata Banerjee. If incase BJP wins over 20 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, then Mamara Banerjee’s citadel will crumbly instantly.
That’s why by hook or crook, she wants to stop the BJP from making massive in roads in West Bengal. But even the saffron party BJP has intensified its tactics in West Bengal. Recently BJP had sent its top gun Sunil Deodhar, the man who played a prominent role in destroying the communist rule in Tripura, to formulate strategies in Kolkata.
