Yesterday was the very sad day for India. After a deadly URI attack the nation witnessed another big terrorist attack sponsored by the state of Pakistan taking away the lives of our 44 CRPF Jawans. The attack took place after a suicide bomber in a Mahindra Scorpio car loaded with 350 kilograms of explosives rammed into a convoy carrying over 2500 CRPF troops on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway.
The whole nation has severely condemned the attack. Even the international community, including the US, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Russia, and Bangladesh have condemned the dastardly attack on Indian security personnel.
The United States of America has condemned the nefarious terror attack and has warned Pakistan. In a strongly-worded statement, the White House has directed Pakistan to immediately end “support” and “safe haven” to all terror outfits on their soil whose only goal is to sow chaos, violence and terror in the region
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a late night statement on Thursday, “This attack only strengthens our resolve to bolster counter terrorism cooperation and coordination between the United States and India,” as reported by Press Trust Of India.
The US envoy to India Kenneth Juster said that the US Mission in India strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. “We send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. The United States stands alongside India in confronting terror and defeating it,” he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, in India, Prime Minister Modi has said the sacrifices of “our brave security personnel shall not go in vain”.
The attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama is despicable. I strongly condemn this dastardly attack. The sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs. May the injured recover quickly,” tweeted Prime Minister Modi.
In another bold move, PM Modi led Government has also ensured free hand to the Indian Army to finish of the Pakistan rogues and their sycophants and has also withdrawn the most favoured nation status to Pakistan
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced that the Centre has decided to withdraw the Most Favoured Nation status to Pakistan in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security. Early morning, the Cabinet Committee on Security met to discuss the security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir. The meet was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several union ministers including Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Arun Jaitley, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
