India and Israel share a very special relation with each other. It is the 26th year of the strong bond both the nations are sharing. Israel has always stood up for India whenever the time has demanded. Even during Kargil war, it was Israel which stood with India.
But the relations between India & Israel went through a rough patch during the regime of Congress as the Congress Government didn’t pay much heed to it. As always correcting all the wrongdoings of Congress when PM Modi Government came to power it started taking steps for strengthening the relations of both the nations
Various steps have been taken by PM Modi Government for improving the relations between both the nations. In a move to strengthen these relations further, now India & Israel have decided to start the direct flight service between Tel Aviv of Israel and Panji of Goa
This announcement was made by the Consul General of Israel Ya’akov Finkelstein at the opening ceremony of the forty-ninth International Film Festival of India (IFFI). This year Israel is the country of focus at the Film Festival.
Expressing the emotions of people of Israel, Finkelstein said that people of Israel are really fond of India especially Israelis are really fond of Goa. They like the beaches of Goa very much. This is one of the major reasons for Israel Airlines (El Al) to start direct flight service between both the nations.
Not only this flight will enable people of Israel to visit Goa but will also enable people of India to visit Tel Aviv. Israeli Consul General expressed his hopes, He said “”We hope and encourage that these planes will come back to Tel Aviv full with Indian tourists to see our scenes.”
Finkelstein further lauded the efforts of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting for making the Israel country of focus at the International Film Festival and curating 10 Israeli movies for its “Country in Focus” Segment and for inviting a special delegation, including veteran film maker Dan Wolman who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at International Film Festival
Israel is very much interested in the Indian Cinema. In past, when Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu visited India, the special event named “Shalom Bollywood” was hosted in which Israeli PM met several top stars, producers and members of Bollywood community and expressed his wish for the Indian Bollywood Industry to shoot in lovely country of Israel.
Apart from this event, multiple other agreements were signed between India & Israel during PM Netanyahu visit further boosting the relations between both the nations.
This is all due to PM Modi Government diplomacy skills. Now those who have always asked questions on PM Modi foreign trips must have got answers why PM Modi makes frequent visit to foreign nations. It is because he has worked day and night for the betterment of nation and he is making India acknowledged at world level.
