Grand Alliance dumps Congress party!!! Samajwadi Party willing to give only 2 constituencies for the Congress party in Uttar Pradesh, which has 80 constituencies

The Congress party was a sinking ship since 2014 but soon after Rahul Gandhi became the party President, there was no chance of revival of this century-old party. After exhibiting one after another pathetic performance in state elections, Rahul Gandhi has once again proved that he is even weak at diplomatic and leaderships skills. Due to this, the Congress party is heading towards a disastrous performance ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, due to conflicts within the UPA.

Rahul Gandhi dumped by his ally in Uttar Pradesh!

Now a terrible news from the internal source of Samajwadi Party has shaken the Congress party. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won 72 seats out of 80 Lok Sabha seats from Uttar Pradesh and this had become a decisive factor in BJP crossing the majority mark on its own. But this time the Congress party thought of checkmating BJP by forming “Grand Alliance”.

But what is hilarious is the Samajwadi party is ready to give just seats to the Congress party. News channel CNN News 18 stated “Congress doesn’t fit into the grand alliance narrative. SP only willing to give Amethi and Rae Bareli seats to Congress: Samajwadi Party sources”.

This is really a pathetic news for the Congress. If this is true then the Congress party might win just one or even zero seat in Uttar Pradesh. This is because the BJP under Smriti Irani had done a fantastic groundwork in Amethi constituency. Even in 2014, Smriti Irani had succeeded in reducing the defeat margin. The reports even say that there is every charge of clinching Amethi from the hands of Congress.

Congress had dreams of making Rahul Gandhi India’s PM using the “grand alliance”. But when the election is approaching, the other regional parties are sidelining the Congress party. There is every possibility that parties in grand alliance might even oppose Rahul Gandhi’s appointment as Prime Minister candidate if the Congress intends to do so.

Another shock for the Congress party!

Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of Lok Sabha, 80 seats, and the second spot is bagged by Maharashtra. It has 48 Lok Sabha seats and whichever party wants to form government at the centre must perform well in these 2 states.

But the heavyweight Sharad Pawar also seems like not interested in the concept of “grand alliance”. In an interview given to CNN News 18, Sharad Pawar dumped the possibility of “Mahagathbandhan” or the anti-BJP grand alliance before the 2019 Lok Sabha polls by stating as “the idea is not practical”.

NCP supremo Sharad Pawar also stated,

  • There is a lot of media speculation, a lot of write-ups about some alternative front like a ‘Mahagathbandhan’ (Grand Alliance). But, I don’t see anything like that. I don’t see that possibility. Some of our friends want that, but it’s not practical.

The 2019 Lok Sabha elections will completely give a new angle to Indians politics. If PM Modi leads his party for another thumping victory, then Rahul Gandhi’s Congress party will not recover for another 10-15 years. This will provide the anti-NDA regional parties a chance to replace the Congress party’s position in India.
