Har Har Mahadev!!! The unique app which blocks porn sites and plays Bhajans in University

It has been rightly said “Education is a form of worship and school is a place to be worshipped”- taught to every Indian kids since birth.

Education is something that’s held high above all other aspects of life. “Knowledge is divine”. Education system and its aspects have taken variations over the decades. What prevailed anciently in the 20th century has undergone a drastic change in the present times. Learners and the teachers have changed their forms of perception.

Students are opting the way towards diversion in the form of education. Stepping towards educational institutions has no more remained sacred. In the present times, internet has taken over the education system in wide terms. I may not be wrong if I state that “education system is widely dependent on internet today”.

The Banaras University has taken a drastic step towards the misuse of internet by the students, in an attempt to stop them from diversions. Dr.Vijaynath Mishra who is the Professor at BHU (Banaras Hindu University) had thought for this cause.

BHU (Banaras Hindu University) Institute of Medical Sciences develops “Har Har Mahadev” App which blocks porn sites and plays a bhajan if someone tries to open them. App is available on both mobile and desktop.

Dr.Vijaynath Mishra, BHU Professor tweeted that “by next month we will give a religion option. For example: if a Muslim tries to open then ‘Allah o Akbar’ will be played, similarly chants of other religion will be loaded as well” to the reports.

He also says that: when he first developed the app he had his patients, his children and his students in mind, but now he thinks this should be made available to the whole world.

The App was developed in their personal capacity by a team which is lead by BHU professor Vijaynath Mishra, BHU Research Scholars Smriti Singh and Akanksha Srivastav, Developer Ankit Srivastav, journalists Aman and Ankit.

In response to this, many have commented it to be for a good cause. And shown a sign of positivity towards the idea. Saying it to be a very good step and will help curb the corrupted mentality being spread in the society and minds of students.

This is an out of the box thought in order to restrict the use of internet and web sources for education purpose only. And not divert the minds of students towards distractions.

This decision may be opposed by the so-called secular parties because this has to be implanted in a BJP ruled state. These parties are such that, if ever there raise slogans against India, they would come up to support that as well!!

“They literally seem to be more interested in pointing out short comes of BJP rule than standing for the welfare of the nation”.
