Height of Modi Hatred!!! Look what did Mamata Banerjee do to the people of West Bengal just to curb PM Modi’s popularity?

Mamata Banerjee has secured a special distinction for herself, she is one of a kind of person who always believe to swim against the tide. She can go to any level to show her hatred towards PM Modi. She has called him dictator, she has made an issue while Army was carrying out a movement in West Bengal. She has accused PM Modi for trying to dethrone her government. She has registered her protest against GST and threatened to not to implement it from July.

Recently on the occasion of Independence Day, the Centre has written to all the States to organize patriotic events in schools towards creating a “patriotic fervor” to help realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘New India’ vision. However, as expected Mamata Banerjee has instructed State Schools to desist from following the Centre’s circular.

It is quite evident that Mamata Banerjee is keeping her hatred against Modi above the welfare of People of West Bengal, and this is not an accusation. Here we are providing the names of 5 Public Welfare Schemes of Central Government which have been either completely blocked by Mamata Government or in complete shambles.

 River inter-linking project

This is certainly one of the most ambitious project since the independence. It is the need of the hour as it will help reducing the effect of flood and draught across the country. However as expected the West Bengal government has not agreed to come on board for the Centre’s project to link the Manas-Sankaosh-Teesta-Ganga rivers to provide benefits of irrigation, drinking water and flood control to Assam, West Bengal and Bihar. Union Minister Uma Bharti sent several letters to Banerjee soliciting her support, the Bengal chief minister has opposed the project saying it will adversely affect the state’s interest.

Smart cities mission

This mission was launched by PM Modi and the primary objective of this scheme is to develop 100 smart cities. Initially, West Bengal had nominated four cities, capital Kolkata, Bidhan Nagar, New Town and Haldia, for re-development under the scheme. But last year, the state pulled out New Town. Banerjee has openly criticized the Smart Cities project and said it will promote “inequitable development.”

Swachh Bharat survey

As expected West Bengal has also pulled out of the ‘SwachhataSurvekshan’, a survey that ranks cities on the basis of cleanliness. It is conducted by the Union urban development, as part of the Centre’s Swachh Bharat Mission, the third edition of the survey had 500 cities across India in its list. But the 60 cities from West Bengal are not participating in the survey.

Real estate regulatory authority act (RERA)

This Act is one of the most important act which safeguards the rights and welfare of Real Estate Customers and Investors. However, West Bengal is one of the few states that has not yet framed rules under the landmark law passed by parliament in May 2016 to protect homebuyers in India from unscrupulous developers. Under the realty law, states were given time till November 27 to notify their own rules based on the central law, which was to serve as benchmark.

Mamata Government haven’t framed the rules nor responded to the numerous communications sent by the Central Govt. Also Mamata Banerjee did not send any representative to two meetings that were held on January 17 and March 27 to address various issues/queries related to the law that states had raised.”

Scrapping of common engineering test

West Bengal has opposed the Centre’s move to have a single entrance test for admissions to all engineering colleges. West Bengal education minister Partha Chatterjee recently wrote to Union human resource development minister Prakash Javadekar opposing the move to scrap state engineering entrance exams on the ground that it amounts to Centre encroaching on state’s jurisdiction, again a lame excuse.

We can say that Mamata Banerjee is certainly ignoring the interests of the people of her state. As a Chief Minister of West Bengal, it is her first priority and dharma to ensure everything possible should be done for the upliftment of the people of her state, but she is more interested in showing her hatred towards PM Modi. She should take a que from none other than PM Modi, he was the most hounded Politician in the history of India. However Modi never hesitate to negotiate with UPA govt or participate in the Public Welfare schemes. And that is the reason why Gujrat flourished in the 13 years rule of Modi, out of which 10 years UPA was in Center.
