As the BJP had failed to capitalize on the misrule under CM Siddaramaiah government in Karnataka, the fight was equally poised between BJP and the Congress in the poll bound Karnataka state, until Congress President Rahul Gandhi landed his foot, days ago.
Yes, the Congress seems like it is burying itself after Rahul Gandhi started his campaign in Karnataka. Right from day one, the youth icon had to face severe embarrassments as the angry “Kannadigas” showed black flags to Rahul Gandhi. “Modi Modi” echoed wherever Rahul Gandhi travelled in Karnataka.
Those slogans were triggered due to the anger on the CM Siddaramaiah government, but now Rahul Gandhi has made a laughing stock out of himself with his “IPS” comment. At one or the other point of time, every Indian youth would have dreamt of becoming an IPS officer. They even knew that IPS stands for Indian Police Service, but the man who wants to become India’s Prime Minister (one day) doesn’t know what IPS stands for.
In a publicity stunt, Rahul Gandhi embraced the “pakodas” as he was found hogging at a roadside eatery shop. Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by several Congress leaders including the Lok Sabha MP Mallikarjun Kharge, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the former Chief Minister M Veerappa Moily, KPCC campaign committee president D.K. Shivakumar, AICC general secretary in-charge of Karnataka K.C. Venugopal.
When all these leaders surrounded Rahul Gandhi, he got self-motivated and decided to create a gaffe. At this moment, Rahul Gandhi offered bhajji to Mr Mallikarjun Kharge and called it the ‘IPS — Indian Pakoda Service’.
Should we call this as a sense of humour or disrespect towards Indian Police Service?
A big insult to the IPS officers!
In the past, several IPS officers have sacrificed their life while fighting against the terrorists, Naxals or even other anti-social elements. But Rahul Gandhi has insulted the IPS fraternity by equating IPS with “Pakodas”. Insulting the warriors of India is like a hobby to some of the Congress leaders. Sadly, Rahul Gandhi has also joined this hate-India brigade.
Yesterday, a video surfaced on the media that exposed Manishankar Aiyar’s love for Pakistan. Even though the Pakistanis are regularly attacking Indian soldiers and the civilians, Congress’ senior leader Manishankar Aiyar wanted dialogue with the terror nation. It was even reported that he was disappointed with Modi government’s tough stand on terrorism.
So, when Rahul Gandhi’s mentors can make such a statement, what else can be expected from Rahul Gandhi? Today, he has insulted the Indian Police Service (IPS), tomorrow, he may even abuse and demoralize the Indian Armed Forces.
What was different in Rahul Gandhi’s Karnataka visit was that he stuck on to “Pakoda party”. Another noticeable change was that he changed his faith. Yes, the Shiv-Bhakt Rahul Gandhi has inclined towards minority appeasement by visiting holy places of Muslims.
“In the coming elections, Congress party is going to win, “we will do even better in the next five years after coming to power”, said Rahul Gandhi. But in the past five years, the achievement of Rahul Gandhi’s Congress party in Karnataka was nothing else than corruption.
