Here comes the turning point in India Politics!!!

The former President Pranab Mukherjee had given a positive sign to the nationalists even before the speech at Nagpur, after he wrote a note in the visitor’s book stating “Today I came here to pay my respect and homage to a great son of Mother India”.

As soon as Pranab Mukherjee made this statement, the Congress party lost its calm. Sources said that Sonia Gandhi had even ordered to tweet against the former President. In fact, the Congress workers followed the orders of Sonia Gandhi and they even began their abusive statements on Pranab Mukherjee.

However, the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that RSS has a history of inviting renowned and dignified men to the give a talk. RSS is not just limited to Hindus, he added.

What was unique was that the family members of Lal Bahadur Shastri, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose were also present at the event. They were Sri Sunil Shastri, Sri Sanjay Lalbhai, Sri Challa RajendraPrasad, Sri Rajiv Malhotra, Sri Vishad Mafatlal, Sri Kalyan Chaubey, Sri Ardhendu Bose

Here comes the turning point in India Politics! This is what Pranab Mukherjee said today in Nagpur!

Pranab Mukherjee started his speech praising India and its rich tradition saying, Today I am here amidst you to share my understanding with you. The concepts of Nation, Nationalism and Patriotism in the context of India. India was a state long before the concept of European nation states, ancient Indian universities were magnets to attract people from all over the world. Many ancient travellers came to India and gave their account. All have described India as having efficient administrative systems with planned systems and good infrastructure.

We derive our strength from tolerance. We respect our pluralism. The soul of India resides in pluralism and tolerance which has come over centuries. Secularism is a matter of faith for us. That doesn’t mean extinction of any group. We celebrate our diversity. The concept of modern Indian states were articulated by various scholars, thinkers, intellectuals and politicians. Jawaharlal Nehru wrote, ‘I’m convinced that nationalism can only come by the ideological fusion of Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and other groups. Sardar Patel united and integrated India. As Gandhi Ji explained, Indian nationalism was not exclusive, nor aggressive, nor destructive.

Many dynasties ruled India in the north and south. At a time, Delhi was captured by Muslim invaders. They ruled for 600 years after which India was taken over by a mercantile company. Throughout the period of 2500 years of changing political fortunes, the 5000 years of civilisational continuity remained uninterrupted.

On Jan 26, 1950, the Constitution of India came into operation in a remarkable display of idealism and courage. For us, democracy isn’t a gift but a sacred trust. The Indian Constitution isn’t an instrument for administration but a Magna-Carta for social transformation. We may argue, agree, may not agree… but we can’t deny the essential prevalence of multiplicity of opinion. Under one system, under one flag, under one constitution and one identity, which we may call Bharatiya… Indian… But we don’t identify any enemy. That’s what makes Bharat a diverse and united nation. We must free our public discourse of all forms of violence. Every time a child or a woman is brutalised, the soul of India is wounded. For so long, we’ve lived with pain and strife. I’m addressing the trainees. You’re well trained and educated. Please wish for peace and harmony. Our motherland deserves that.

Growth indicators are showing how India is emerging as one of the fastest growing economies in the world but we’re not doing well in the World Happiness Index. “In the happiness of the people lies the happiness of the king”…: Pranab Mukherjee quotes a shloka inscribed in Parliament house. पूर्व राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी बोले, संविधान से ही राष्ट्रवाद की भावना बहती है.. (REPUBLIC TV REPORT)

By saying so, Pranab Mukherjee ended his speech saying Thank you. Jai Hind. Vande Mataram!

Did you know that even Mahatma Gandhiji had praised RSS?

Rahul Gandhi roams claiming that RSS was behind the assassination of Gandhiji. But many Indians don’t know that Mahatma Gandhiji had praised RSS several times.

  • In 1934 Mahatma Gandhiji had praised RSS when he visited a 1500-strong Swayamsevaks camp at Wardha.
  • In his address to the workers of Sangh in Bhangi Colony at Delhi on 16th September 1947, Gandhiji had said,

“I visited the RSS camp years ago, when the founder Shri Hedgewar was alive. I was very much impressed by your discipline, the complete absence of untouchability and the rigorous simplicity. Since then the Sangh has grown. I am convinced that any organization which is inspired by the high ideal of service and self-sacrifice is bound to grow in strength”.

What Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in a public meeting, Lucknow 6-10-1948?

  • In the Congress, those who are in power feel that by virtue of authority they will be able to crush the R.S.S. By “danda” you cannot suppress an organization. Moreover “danda” is meant for thieves and “dakus”. Using of “danda” will not help much. After all, R.S.S. men are not thieves and dacoits. They are patriots. They love their country.

What Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar said at Pune Camp in May 1939?

  • I am surprised to find the Swayamsevaks moving about in absolute equality and brotherhood without even caring to know the caste of the others.

What Jayaprakash Narayan said at RSS public function, Patna in 03-11-1977?

  • Yours is a revolutionary organization in the forefront of social transformation taking place today. You alone have the capacity to end casteism and wipe the tears from the eyes of the poor.

What the Chief Justice of Bharat, Koka Subba Rao had said in 25-08-1968?

  • The name of RSS is a household word for selfless service all over the country.

What the noted journalist Sardar Khushwant Singh, who was close to Gandhi family had said?

  • RSS has played an honourable role in maintaining Hindu-Sikh unity before and after the murder of Indira Gandhi in Punjab, Delhi and other places.
