Here’s what the Prime Minister Narendra Modi said about the ‘Mission Gange’ Delegation

Adding a move to achieve a cleaner tomorrow and clean the River Ganga, that is being messed up by travelers and residents in India,a mission titled “Mission Gange” is been given a push through a few of the self volunteers who want to initiate this move. This has been an inspiration encouraged by the Central Government Campaign.

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met a group of 40 enthusiasts, who is embarking on an expedition to raise awareness on cleaning the river Ganga. The expedition has been inspired by the Union Government’s ‘Namami Gange’ campaign. The group includes eight mountaineers who have successfully climbed Mount Everest and is led by Bachendri Pal, the first Indian woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

Patting their back for this amazing move initiated on their own, PM Modi appreciated the group members for undertaking it and working for a cleaner India. He underlined the importance of a clean and vibrant River Ganga and particularly urged the group to reach out to schoolchildren as part of their awareness activities in the cities they are transiting through.

The month-long rafting expedition will see the group travel through the river from Haridwar to Patna, with halts at Bijnor, Narora, Farrukhabad, Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, and Buxar. At each of these nine cities, the group will raise awareness about keeping the Ganga clean and will also undertake cleaning activities.

This expedition is also a major part of the “Swachh Bharat” Abhiyan which is also a dream project of PM Modi under this campaign of better India. We need many such young minds to come forward and be a part these initiatives.
