Bollywood has an influence on day to day life of almost every Indian. Through movies and advertisements, actors give us lessons about secularism, the importance of respecting elders, respecting foreign tourists, and on some other social issues.
Stars are considered next to God, but are they really as big as their image in the society? Are these Bollywood personalities really concerned about their country and society, or is it just the trade that they are bothered about? If you carefully observe every actor’s statement on a variety of issues, you may feel that their approach is selective.
Believe it or not, but some of the top Bollywood personalities did not even condemn Uri attack; forget about demanding a ban on Pakistani artists.
We all know Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anupam Kher, Ashok Pandit, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Raju Srivastava, Madhur Bhandarkar’s stand on the issue. So their tweets and posts are not included.
Uri happened on September 18, 2016. Out of top celebrities, the following ones shared their condolences on the death of martyrs and condemned Pakistan’s role in terror activities. In order to make sure that the information in this piece remains authentic, I have gathered information only from authentic sources, including tweets and FB posts released by these individuals on their verified social media handles.
The point to be noted is that Akhtar tweeted and urged the army to destroy training camps across the border immediately after the Uri attack
Not 17 families, 1 family – India, enough is enough! #UriAttacks

Actor, comedian Jaaved Jaaferi did not condemn URI terror attack, but he did tweet in support of his country’s army after surgical strikes. So did comedian, director, host & dost Sajid Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and music director Himesh Reshammiya.
JAI JAWAAN !!!

As of now, while writing this report, Bollywood personalities like- Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ranbir Kapoor have not shown their support for our brave soldiers since Uri attack. Even producers, directors like –Kabir Khan, Anees Bazmee, Ali Abbas Zafar, Ramesh & Kumar Taurani, and Farah Khan have remained silent. This list does not include Bollywood celebrities who do not have Twitter, Facebook page.
When Bollywood faces any problems, all the Bollywood celebrities come together and support each other. Actresses even walk the ramp as part of their publicity stunts. Actors from so-called 200 crore club organize overseas performance shows and events to collect funds for Pakistani flood victims, but they do not show any concern towards Army men who risk their life in order to protect our country.
During the 70s, actors used to organize public gatherings in order to collect food, clothes, and other help for flood victims. South Indian actors recently did the same in order to organize help for flood victims in Tamil Nadu. But the same enthusiasm is missing in Bollywood these days.
Today, people like Mahesh Bhatt, Om Puri, Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Shahrukh Khan (he has shown his support to the army), Vivek Oberoi, Hansal Mehta, Vikram Bhatt, and Kailash Kher have openly supported Pakistani artists.
If you look at big names, the only actor to come out and clearly say that he won’t share the stage with Pakistani artists is Ajay Devagan. On the other hand, Aamir Khan is silent on the issue and did not even show respect towards Uri martyrs. He made crores through his show Satyamev Jayate. During his show, he acted as if he was really concerned about the society. All that now seems just a PRETENTIOUS and JOKE!!!
Now the main question, are most of the Indian actors just concerned about commercial interest and not their nation? These so-called stars fail to understand a simple logic. Every artist comes from a country; artist’s first identity is his country. Pakistani artist works in other countries, but pays the tax to Pakistani Government which spends taxpayers’ money on ISI to fund terror attacks in India. So, in other words, paying Pakistani artist means paying small amount of money to ISI.
If Pakistani artists can come out and say they won’t work with India and they love their country, why can’t Indians say the same?
Most of them are involved in PR stunts to show how they are contributing to the society. But in reality, their real face behind that makeup is horrible. Celebrities came out in large numbers to crib about non-existing religious intolerance. But, the same bunch of individuals and award wapasi gang members were silent on Uri attack and some even condemned India’s surgical strikes!
It appears as if they are just striving to get better profit sharing and satellite rights deal from producers. Such people do not deserve to be treated like God.
There exists only one question…. whether Bollywood Actors Stand for Their Country and Condemn Pakistan Terrorism?!!!
