India for the first time had broken into the 100 Nations Club easiest to conduct business in, driven by ease of paying taxes, resolving the insolvency problem, access to credit, and protection of minority investors last year.
Led by a remarkable development under the PM Narendra Modi Era,our Country which was ranked 118 in 2014, is now at 96th rank on the index, which maps how digital technologies and innovations are impacting the public sector and changing people’s everyday lives.
After breaking into top 100 on the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Index last October, India has marked a similar success on United Nation’s E-Government Index, jumping 22 ranks in last four years and 11 ranks in last two years!!
According to the report, which covered the period from June 2 last year to June 1 this year, ranked India top among the South Asian nations. India’s distance to frontier ratio, which tells how similar a country’s economic practices are to global best practices, has improved in nine out of 10 categories. Also, it is now among the top 30 nations in three categories -getting electricity, securing credit and protecting minority investors.
The survey, released by the United Nations every two years, noted that India has scored 100% in the first stage of the E-Participation sub-index, followed by 95.65% in the second stage and 90.91% in the third stage. The overall score of 0.9551 on the E-Participation sub-index has put India among top 15 countries in the list of 193 counties surveyed. In this category, India has emerged as sub-region leader!!
An improvement of 22 ranks is indeed a big shot in the arm of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has been extremely vocal about digitising India. It is his unending efforts that have paid off. In October 2017, India’s leapfrog jump on the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business also helped the country to gain significance on world platforms, as a result of which rating agency Moody’s upgraded sovereign rating Baa2 from Baa3 after a gap of 14 years.
Followed by the 4 years development under the PM Modi rule, our country has witnessed pure development in every sector and India has gained the amount of recognition lacked in the past decades. Our Nation has broken into the top 100 in the United Nation’s E-government Index in 2018. We are indeed glad to learn that there are only 95 nations globally better than India at ease of doing business.
Yet Anti-nationals in India exist to claim that there is no development under PM Modi Government!! PM Modi has done nothing for Indians and its economy!! It’s time we give up the Anti-Modi agenda and unite for a better nation. A brighter future needs a better tomorrow..
