India gives a tight rap on Turkey! Modi Govt is diplomatically cornering Turkey on global platforms after it meddled with Kashmir Issue

In a tight slap to Turkey on its interference in India’s matters, India has made it very clear that if Turkey tries to meddle in India’s affairs  India is not going to sit idle and is, in fact, going to give it hard times.

On the ongoing issue of the Turkish invasion in Syria whereby it is trying to overwhelm the Kurdish fighters and create a “safe zone” for the resettlement of Syrian refugees, India has issued a strong statement against the Turkish military action.

It has stated that Turkey’s actions in Syria could undermine stability in the region and the fight against terrorism.

A Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) statement read, “We are deeply concerned at the unilateral military offensive by Turkey in north-east Syria. These actions of Turkey could end up causing humanitarian and civilian distress in Syria”

India has infact asked Turkey to exercise restraint and respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria. It has also called for peaceful settlement of all issues through “dialogue and discussion”.

This is a good move taken by India for answering Turkey after what it did in the UNGA session. During the UNGA session, Turkey President Recep Erdogan has taken a pro-Pakistan stand on the Kashmir issue, aligning his country’s stance on the same with the talking points used by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to whip up anti-India sentiment and separatism.

He said “In order for the Kashmiri people to look at a safe future together with their Pakistani and Indian neighbors, it is imperative to solve the problem through dialogue and on the basis of justice and equity, not through clashes,”

Referring to the abrogation of article 370 he said that the residents of Jammu and Kashmir are “virtually under blockade with 8 million people, unfortunately, unable to step outside of Kashmir,”

He also criticized the international community for not paying sufficient attention to the Kashmir issue.

This move of Turkey not supporting India and supporting terror nation Pakistan is not at all acceptable as Pakistan is well known for harboring terrorism and its anti – India stance.

If Turkey feels it will go well along with India then it is surely mistaken. This is not the old India that will succumb to international pressure and not do anything. It is new India of Prime Minister Modi and it knows very well how to give it back when any other nation is trying to meddle in its affairs

Earlier also PM Modi has sent a clear message to Turkey soon after the 74th UN General Assembly that India is not going to tolerate this bullshit at any cost. PM Modi had met the Armenia PM Nikol Pashinyan and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades.

Both countries have been wronged by Turkey in the past. Armenia shares a long history of strained relations with Turkey and Armenians still accuse Turkey of having committed an inhuman massacre of the Armenian population in the early twentieth century.

Cyprus, on the other hand, was violently partitioned by Turkey in 1974, after an invasion, which ultimately led to the Turkish occupation of a major part of Cyprus by the end of the invasion.

And now the current move was taken by India by issuing a strong statement against the Turkish military action India has made it very clear to Turkey to be in its limits.
