India Snubs Pakistan”™s Invitation for Talks on Kashmir!

India today rejected Pakistan”™s offer to hold discussions on Kashmir. Pakistani foreign secretary Aizaz Chaudhry on August 12th had formally requested his counterpart S Jaishankar to visit Islamabad for a dialogue on Kashmir issue. But in a hardened stand, India has said talks will proceed only if terror agenda on table. The Pakistan government wanted talks on Jammu and Kashmir violence and referred to solving the Kashmir issue according to the UN Security Council recognition. However MEA spokesperson Mr. Vikas Swaroop has made it clear that talks relating to Kashmir will not be discussed with Pakistan as it is the internal matter of India.

The government also sent a stern message to Pakistan that it has to respond to cross border terrorism, infiltration bids, support to Lashkar-e-Taiba member Bahadur Ali, endorsing internationally recognized terrorist Hafiz saeed and Syed Salahuddin and Pathankot attack.

Union finance minister Arun Jaitley had earlier cancelled his visit to Pakistan for the SAARC Finance Ministers”™ conference which is to be held on 25th and 26th August following the inhospitable environment created during Home Minister Rajnath Singh”™s visit recently. Nepal and Bangladesh have also opted out from SAARC Finance Minister”™s conference. India”™s snub to Pakistan has created a hostile condition to Pakistan in the international level.

The tough action by Indian army against many terrorists has made Pakistan jittery and thus making it loose the plot. Pakistan”™s uninvited interference in Kashmir issue must be dealt with iron fist and should bring an end to Pakistan sponsored Proxy War!
