Karnataka CM politicizes Balakot Air Strike! Says “Was told they’d cook up India-Pakistan enmity 2 years ago”

It has been nearly 2 months after the Balakot Air Strike took place but the opposition parties still couldn’t digest the fact that Indian Armed Force inflicted severe damage on the Pakistani terror launch pads.

Recently Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman’s father Air Marshal (retired) Simhakutty Varthaman had said that the laser-guided smart bombs (SPICE-2000) used to attack the terror camp at Balakot could have killed 250 to 300 terrorists. While giving a talk at IIT-Madras on 3rd April, Air Marshal (retired) Simhakutty Varthaman said “The Indian Air Force strike happened when the maximum targets were inside the camp. The structural damage might be limited, but the fuse of the bomb is delayed to ensure maximum casualties”.

But now the Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has given a shocker by politicizing India ‘successful Air Strike and said “Today for their(BJP) sustenance, they’re playing with the lives of hundreds of soldiers. In the guise of protecting the nation, they’re misleading you. Do you need such a PM? I request you to not fall for the words of PM Modi”.

He added that “Today why are we facing conflicts with our neighboring countries? A retired military officer told me two years ago that they will cook up enmity between India and Pakistan before the Lok Sabha polls to mislead and seek votes from people. I had this discussion two years ago. He’s (Modiji) not seeking votes from you on the basis of development but they claim that the need of the hour is an able PM to protect the country”.

Though the Congress and JD (S) have formed an alliance in Karnataka, surveys predict that BJP will perform even better than 2014 in the current Lok Sabha elections. This has rattled the alliance and that’s why they are giving statements that are against the integrity of the nation.

Earlier Congress MP from Karnataka, BK Hariprasad had said that “Ravi Shankar Prasad should clarify whether there was any match-fixing between Pakistan and Narendra Modi”. Statements like these are nothing but an insult.
