K’taka CM Kumaraswamy does it again! Says “People who don’t have food to eat join Defence Forces”

In a fear that the tough actions taken by PM Modi against terrorism will benefit him and the saffron party in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the opposition leaders have gone berserk. Earlier the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal insulted the Pulwama martyrs and the Indian Air Force’s air strike by stating “Did Pakistan kill 40 of our brave soldiers in Pulwama on 14 Feb just before elections to help Modi ji?”.

Now the Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has insulted the brave Indian Armed Force by saying that “People who don’t have food to eat join Defence”. This heinous statement was made by him during an election rally in the state.

Indians are well aware of Field Marshal K. M. Cariappa, who was the first Indian Army Commander-in-Chief. Even his son Air Marshal K C “NANDA” Cariappa was in the Indian Armed Force. So did he decide to serve the nation as he didn’t have food to eat? The Karnataka Chief Minister must answer to this.

Karnataka BJP slammed this distasteful comment by saying “Kumaraswamy, people join Defence forces due to the love they have for Nation. Why don’t you send your Son to serve in army instead of contesting for MP seat. You may then know what it needs to be a soldier”.

This is not the first time when H D Kumaraswamy tried to insult the armed force. Earlier he had stated “A retired military officer told me two years ago that they will cook up enmity between India and Pakistan before the Lok Sabha polls to mislead and seek votes from people. I had this discussion two years ago. He’s (Modiji) not seeking votes from you on the basis of development but they claim that the need of the hour is an able PM to protect the country”. With this statement, he had not only peddled lies on PM Modi but also insulted the martyrdom of Indian soldiers.
