It was a 70-day long scuffle between the mighty dragons and the Indian Army. But the dragons were made to flee from the Indian territory with the combined efforts of the Indian Armed Force and the central government. The Chinese had to face huge embarrassment in front of the world as it couldn’t withstand the resistance from India. It was expected that Chinese would make a fresh attempt to penetrate into Indian territory in order to regain its lost glory in Dolkam stand-off.
How China tried to enter forcibly into Indian territory, just days back?
On December 28th, the frustrated Chinese attempt to build a track on the Indian side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Tuting area of Arunachal Pradesh. But this attempt was successfully foiled by the Indian Army and Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). The Indian Armed forces also forced the Chinese to flee their country and also seized their road construction equipment.
the Chinese track construction party was building a 12-feet wide, 1-km long track inside Indian territory. The Chinese had already penetrated 400 metres inside Arunachal Pradesh, this was first noticed by the residents of the area and they didn’t delay to inform the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) about this development. This area is located at a high of over 12,000 feet and is protected by the ITBP. The place where the Chinese had entered to construct roads was 2 km away from the nearest ITBP post.
A war between India and China? Why Indian Air Force rushed Su-30MKI fighter jets to Doklam borders?
Just weeks after the Chinese tried to construct roads in Indian territory, the Indian Air Force has rushed several Su-30MKI Flanker multi-role fighters to Hasimara which is the nearest airbase to the Doklam area where the clash between India and Pakistan had taken place months ago.
The Sukhoi Su-30MKI Flanker-H is the most advanced multirole air superiority fighter which India possess. Su-30Mki is a multirole twin seater, twin engined, cropped delta, heavy class, long range fighter aircraft. This flanker can undertake missions from air superiority to SEAD, Armed reconnaissance to tactical bombing.
Su-30Mki can carry over 8000kg of ordnance which includes AAM, BVRAAM, AGM, Guided and unguided bombs, ECM pods, Targetting and reconnaissance pods in its 12 Hardpoints. In Mid 2016, a Su-30Mki was used to transport a kidney and liver from Pune to New Delhi to save two patients. The flight took just 45 minutes. This itself proved the fact that no one can doubt the ability of Su-30Mki.
The situation is tense at the borders!
If everything was normal, then the Indian Airforce wouldn’t have had rushed its best fighters towards the Doklam area. The track construction timing of the Chinese is also very suspicious because they never undertake it during this season. “Nothing out of the ordinary since perceptions of LAC differ. Our stance is that status quo cannot be altered unilaterally. Mere initiation of such unilateral activity in proximity of LAC by the Chinese is violently objected to”, this was how a senior Indian officer responded.
In November, the world’s fastest supersonic cruise missile, BrahMos, was successfully flight-tested for the first time from the Indian Air Force’s frontline fighter, Sukhoi-30MKI. The Defence Minister had responded saying “The successful maiden test firing of BrahMos Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) from the Su-30MKI will significantly bolster the IAF’s air combat operations capability from stand-off ranges”.
This indicates that India is expecting all sorts of surprise attacks from its enemy nations.
