Massive embarrassment for Congress social media head Ramya as her mother revolts against Congress party! Do you know what she did that has given a jolt to Congress in Karnataka?

Congress social media head and party President Rahul Gandhi’s close aide Ramya a.k.a. Divya Spandana and her mother Ranjitha seem to be creating a new wave of high-level drama now.

Divya Spandana’s mother today has announced that she will be independently contesting as a candidate in the upcoming elections; in a drive to express her grieve against the Congress party. “My daughter and I deserve justice. We both are being working for Congress since so many years but have got nothing in return. It’s now time that I stand and fight for my rights”, says Ranjitha.

Ramya’s mother Ranjitha has demanded Assembly ticket for herself from Mandya constituency and a suitable party post for her daughter.

She has warned the party that she will contest as an independent if the ticket is not given to her. “I want to fight from Mandya. I request the Congress high command to give me ticket this time. If they don’t, I’m even ready to try my luck as an independent candidate,” said Ranjitha.

The drama begins. Divya spandana’s mother Smt Ranjitha has announced her candidature as Independent. Will campaign and contest against official INC Karnataka candidate.

Its family versus family this time, Mother against her own daughter. Congress Social media head has to face her own mother this time. The fight seems to be really tough for Divya Spandana a.k.a Ramya.

She has been working for the Congress party way back since 1980. She joined the party with Rs. 2 as the joining fee for her membership. She has delivered more than decades of service but has got nothing in return according to her grief she expressed.

“I have never asked for a ticket till now. But once when I asked for it, it was denied as it was already given to Sandalwood actor Ambareesh. Decades of service by me was completely ignored against his stardom. The same thing has happened with my daughter. They have used her stardom for their selfish motives. The Congress president Rahul Gandhi had promised great future for her in the Congress party but not fulfilled his promises” she added.

Conclusions on this will be quite tough. Does this mean Rahul’s trump card of social media will move out of Congress? Will Ramya’s mother insist her to leave Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party as well? Or will it turn to be a mother- daughter clash? Too many questions erupting right now.

A lot has been spoken about Congress’s recent social media rise, particularly the shift in tone, language and promptness of Rahul Gandhi’s tweets. Many are hailing Gandhi as a rising social media star, courtesy his witty tweets and sharp attacks in recent times. While it’s true that popularity on Twitter or any other social media site doesn’t guarantee electoral success. The credits for Rahul’s numerous number of fake followers goes to none other than his social media head mastermind, who also delivered lessons on creating fake accounts last month.

The actor turned politician was earlier caught in the controversial video where she was seen instructing Congress workers on how to create fake accounts on social media to boost the party’s reach has been ‘edited out of context’.

Ramya took to Twitter to clarify and wrote, “1. The video is edited out of context 2. Was explaining the difference between bots, fake accounts & multiple accounts to a question from the audience. 3. Said, if you want to express your own view please do so on your individual handle not on an official account.”

This controversy has erupted days after Ramya’s ‘POT’ jibe attack at PM Modi. While referring to PM Modi’s TOP (Tomato, Onion, Potato) remark in Bengaluru, Spandana had tweeted, “Is this what happens when you’re on POT? (sic)” Her tweet invited a sharp response from the BJP who has called it atrocious and an “insult” to the masses. Ramya’s swipe came following PM Modi’s comment in a rally in Karnataka during which he said farmers are his top priority and described TOP as tomato, onion and potato.
