Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again proved that his government can go to any extent to upgrade the Indian Armed Force. In what is called as a massive move, the Modi government has granted emergency powers to the Indian armed forces to buy weapon systems.
According to this special power, the financial powers have been increased for all the three services and now they can now buy weapon systems worth Rs 300 crore under each proposal. Along with that, the forces can also buy the latest weapons to fight wars on the western border with Pakistan.
A report had stated “Under this proposal, the Army is planning to buy 246 Spike anti-tank guided missiles which can be used against enemy tank regiments and destroy them. Similarly, the Navy and the Air Force are also preparing proposals for buying missiles and other weapons systems which can prepare them fully for a war with Pakistan”.
This has been a massive boost to the Indian Armed Force and it proves that the Modi government is here to strengthen our armed force. My Nation reported “On 12th April, top Army commanders carried out a thorough review of India’s security challenges including along the borders with China and Pakistan, and resolved to enhance the operational capability of the force to effectively deal with potential adversaries”.
It is said that the Raksha Mantri Nirmala Sitharaman is likely to speak to news agency ANI on this decision by the Modi government. Since last few years, central government has taken several steps to strengthen the Indian Armed Force. From purchasing lakhs of bullet proof jackets to ordering to conduct regular strikes at the enemy terror camps, the Modi government has done all possible tasks to support the Armed force.
Not just the current service men, but even the retired men are extremely happy with the Modi government after it implemented One Rank One Pension (OROP).
