It’s not as good time for convener of Aam Aadmi Party as he thinks after his MLAs got a chance from the court. He failed to realize that court has just provided them with an option to once present their point of view and has not proved them unguilty.
The party chief Arvind Kejriwal was on the top of the world and was blaming the opposition for it. But his bad luck haunted him again. He hasn’t even enjoyed his partial success that he got slammed by the court on the issue of sealing in Delhi.
The Supreme Court today came down heavily on his government for not submitting comprehensive action plan in the ongoing sealing drive in the national capital. The top court said to the government that “Inaction won’t be accepted” and also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party government.
The Kejriwal government as always incapable of having proof of anything was not even able to defend themselves in the court and gave a lame excuse to court that they misunderstood in understanding the instructions. How silly and funny excuse is this? Are you so illiterate that you are going to fight the case in the court and you haven’t even understood the instructions? From this, we can completely understand how such people are running the government and in how unsafe and inexperienced hands the capital of country is.
On such a foolish response by the Aam Aadmi Party government, the apex court has slammed the government that could be called an hilarious as well as really embarrassing reply. The court replied that it will explain instructions to the government in Hindi.
Earlier in the day, Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government had submitted a notification in the Supreme Court that puts 351 city roads under commercial and mixed-use categories, in an attempt to save traders in these stretches from an ongoing sealing drive, a government spokesperson said.
What is this sealing drive all about and who is carrying it?
The sealing drive in Delhi is being carried out by a Supreme Court-appointed Monitoring Committee against business establishments that are using residential properties for commercial purposes without paying conversion charges. The sealing drive in Delhi is being implemented by the three BJP-led municipal corporations.
The immediate trigger for the sealing drive in Delhi were two scathing reports by the Supreme Court-appointed Monitoring Committee that highlighted blatant and widespread unauthorised construction in Delhi.
On December 15 last year, a Supreme Court bench comprising Justices Madan B Lokur and Deepak Gupta revived the powers of the Monitoring Committee and recalled its 2012 order staying the sealing drive in Delhi.
The current sealing drive in Delhi is not the first one. Delhi witnessed a massive sealing drive in 2006 and violent protests in which four people died. It was the Delhi High Court which sent a notice to the MCD in February 2006 to remove commercial construction in residential areas.
In March 2006, the Supreme Court ordered sealing of all unauthorised construction in Delhi and appointed a Monitoring Committee to conduct the sealing drive.
The Centre, where a Congress-led government was in power, brought in a law to stop the sealing drive and some amendments to the Master Plan 2021 were made, allowing greater relaxation to commercial establishments. The current sealing drive is against those who are using residential area for commercial purposes and have not paid the conversion charge as well.
On March 21, representatives of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met Supreme Court-appointed Monitoring Committee to find a solution to the ongoing sealing drive in the city.
Arvind Kejriwal and his corrupt party has always been a big stain on the national capital. Delhi people have chosen them for the betterment but they had made the capital hell with their corrupt policies and selfish motives. People of Delhi now should become aware of this cheap government and throw them out of the capital.
