NIA investigation reveals that a Mosque in Haryana was built with Lashkar-e-Taiba funds

Gone are the days where the main pillar of a religious place was “Religion”. But now few of the place of worship are built with the looted money.

I’m forced to say this after the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) revealed that a mosque in Haryana was built with the funding of the Pakistani based terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) which is headed by Hafiz Saeed.

On 3rd October when the NIA raided and searched the Khulafa-e-Rashideen masjid at Uttawar village in Palwal, it was revealed that the mosque had links with the terrorist organisations. Days before the raid, the cops had arrested three men, including the Imam of the Masjid, Mohammed Salman, in New Delhi in an terror funding case and that’s how the mask of this mosque was blown off. Now the NIA has seized the account books, details of donations and documents found in the mosque and is carrying out detailed investigation.

How the NIA got clue that the mosque was built form Pakistan’s funds?

On September 26th, the NIA had arrested the Imam Salman (52), Mohammed Salim and Sajjad Abdul Wani and that’s when they realised that the Lahore-based Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF), an NGO set up by Hafiz Saeed’s Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), Lashkar’s parent organisation was pumping in money into India so that India could be slowly brought under the rule of Pakistani terrorists.

Revealing that Mohammed Salman, the Imam, played a main role in getting funds from Pakistan to build the mosque, an NIA officer said that “Salman, who came in touch with LeT associated men when he was in Dubai, had been receiving funds from FIF. The organisation, we have learnt, gave him Rs 70 lakh to build a mosque in Uttawar. It even gave him money for the marriage of his daughters. We are now probing from where the mosque has been receiving its donations and how this money is being used”.

The NIA official also added that “The village does not appear to be aware of the source of funds. They believe it has come from Salman,” said another officer. After Salman’s arrest in September, the NIA, in an official statement said: “During investigation, it emerged that one Mohammad Salman…is in regular touch with one Dubai-based Pakistani national, who in turn is connected with the Deputy Chief of Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation. The accused person has been receiving funds, being sent by FIF operators and his associates through hawala operators”.
