No respect for women? For making sexist remarks, National Commission for Women (NCW) slammed Rahul Gandhi, but here’s how Congress party attacked NCW chairperson

When it comes to ugly talks, no one can overtake the Congress party chief Rahul Gandhi. Year ago he had said “How many women members does it have? Have you seen a woman in shorts at their shakhas?” and proved he can go to any extent in giving pervert statements.

Now after abusing women who serve in RSS, Rahul Gandhi went on to abuse the defence minister of India Nirmala Sitharaman. In a rally in Jaipur Rajasthan, the Congress chief made a sexist remark saying “The watchman with a 56-inch chest ran away and told a woman, Sitharaman ji, defend me (ek mahila say kaha meri raksha kiijiye). I won’t be able to defend myself, defend me”.

He then stooped further low saying “For two and a half hours, the woman could not defend him. I had asked a straight question – answer yes or no – but she couldn’t answer”.

This showed the kind of respect that lies in Rahul Gandhi’s mind for the women. This was slammed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi who said “They are bent upon insulting a woman defence minister” without naming Rahul Gandhi.

PM Modi added “This is not an insult to a woman, but an insult to entire India’s women power, for which these irresponsible leaders will have to pay the price”.

And now the National Commission for Women (NCW) will be sending a notice to Rahul Gandhi for his cheap comments. Rekha Sharma, NCW Chairperson said “We will send a letter to Rahul Gandhi tomorrow morning asking him to clarify on what grounds he made such a remark. As a politician he cannot make such a statement that shows a misogynistic attitude”.

She added “What is Rahul Gandhii trying to imply with his misogynistic statement: ‘ek mahila say kaha meri raksha kiijiye’? Does he think women are weak? The irony is calling an accomplished defence minister of the largest democracy a weak person”.

But Congress party’s Priyanka Chaturvedi attacked NCW Chairperson saying “Such a sad state of affairs! NCW and its chairperson stays mum on increasing crimes against women but expresses outrage over a statement in which Rahul Gandhi ji asks why the 56” PM is running away? Why is the defence minister of India reduced to being Defence Minister of PM Modi?”.

But Rekha Sharma hit back saying “Priyanka Chaturvedi do you even know what is the full form of NCW? If yes than please tell is it NCW India’ s work to ensure who attends the parliament?”.

Bottom line is that Congress party has no respect towards women. This proves that the girls and women of India will have a pathetic time if the Congress party comes back to power in 2019.
