West Bengal has become a synonyms for murders and violence. It is unfortunate that activists belonging to other party and having different ideology have become the victims of TMC violence who are targeting innocent karyakarthas of BJP.
Since the time Mamata Banerjee came to power, there have been hundreds of murders and violence against BJP activists. Now, in another case, a block level BJP worker in West Bengal has been killed on Sunday night. According to Union Minister and BJP MP Babul Supriyo, Sandip Ghosh was returning from a party meeting on Sunday night when he was brutally murdered.
Along with Sandip, there were four others who have been injured in the attack. They are currently hospitalised. Babul Supriyo said that all four have alleged that TMC sponsored sand mafia Saiful is behind the attack. Ghosh was Rupganj Booth president of Asansol-Durgapur Kanksha Block. He is the latest in the line of men who have died due to political violence in West Bengal which has seen intense TMC-BJP fight in the last couple of years.
Attacking TMC, Babul Supriyo said, “Deeply anguished& distressed in the manner TMC has resorted to robbing young lives & ALL VERY MUCH within the knowledge of Mamta Banerjee”. He accused that TMC is being run by money funded by mafia and the goon. Union Minister that such act of TMC won’t be forgiven and it is just a matter of time, before the ruling party in Bengal perishes. DNA Report
The event occurred just while the TMC has refused to give permission to BJP’s rath yatra in West Bengal. The matter is pending at the Calcutta HC, even though the court has slammed the state government for not responding to BJP’s letters.
It is infact sad that the TMC workers are targeting BJP people just because they differ in their ideology and the party is growing in West Bengal. Seems like the TMC and Mamata Banerjee have started to feel the heat and are now intimidated by BJP’s surge in the state. But unfortunately, the culprits have not been punished despite of large number of violence and they are still allowed to roam free.
