The National health scheme started by PM Modi is one of the biggest health schemes ever started in the world covering 50 lakh people. It gained wide appreciation from India and abroad. According to recent reports, in the first 10 days of the Ayushman Bhrat program it helped a total of 23,287 patients and medical insurance worth Rs 38.1 crore was settled with both private and public hospitals under the Pradhan Mandtri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), popularly called Ayuhsmaan Bharat.
Up to 23,299 claims worth Rs 45 crore had been received by October 2, the report further said. According to official data, the average claims size per patient within the first ten days is Rs 19,357 reported Business Today.
The CEO of the Ayushman Bharat in his tweet had mentioned that in just few days, around 1.7 crore beneficiary letters with family cards from the Prime Minister’s Office had been dispatched across the country.
Now, the Ayushman BHrat scheme has created one more record by covering the cost for the first open heart surgery. The first open heart surgery in Uttar Pradesh under the ambitious Ayushman Bharat project was performed in Agra yesterday reported the ministry.
Chief Medical Officer of Agra district, Mukesh Vats, said 50-year-old Devendra from Mainpuri was the first beneficiary of the project. He was operated in Pushpanjali Hospital in Agra by a team of doctors including Atul Gupta and Dinesh Jain.
Health, Home, toilet and electricity, these things were something which PM Modi promised to give to people when he took oath as the Prime Minister of India. Within 4 years of his government more than 20 thousands villages which had never seen electricity got light in their homes after 70 years of Independence. People celebrated the entire night with songs and dance with joy when their villages received electricity.
With the massive success in such short span, the Ayushman Bharat or the health benefit scheme is set to pick up pace in the coming days which is likely to benefit crores of families. PM Modi’s promise of ensuring health care facilities to all people is definitely yielding results and helping millions of people lead a dignified life.
